MVMCP Dec. 19th - worth it??

We are booked Dec 13-19th. ADRs are made, FPs are done, etc. etc. We do go in December frequently so I did not plan on doing MVMCP as we have done it before. Situations changed a bit and some extra money was found (love when that happens lol) and now we are revisiting the idea ... problem is we planned two MK days ( and with all the FPs and ADRs it is all but impossible to change your plan at this point) .... one one day we have an ADR at Ohana at 6 so it wouldn't make sense to do the party that day ... and the other we have a breakfast ADR. Problem is that is a Friday.

Soooo question is -- I know normally weekdays are better but do you all think the fact that it is the last night it is a hard ticket event will reduce the crowds? Or the opposite? I just can't decide and would hate to spend the extra $ to have it be shoulder to shoulder and have everyone miserable (there are 10 of us so it is a significant expense).

Last night of party and a Fri ( ? ) I'm going to that one. I expect it to be both sold out and packed. It doesn't scare me or put me off though. I have attended many sold out/week end night parties ( MNSSHPs) and loved every minute of it. The key is you HAVE to have a plan. Determine what are " must do " download/print map from www.kennythepirate.com to see where characters, shows, and photopass photgraphers are. He'll have more info on the site after tonight's party.

For goodness sakes don't waste time in line getting sub-par prepacked cookies and cocoa mix + water in a cup

I would go. I love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! Plus it's the only way you will see the Christmas Parade or the snow on Main Street during those travel dates. All of the parties, even the weekday parties, always sell out the last week, so the 19th will definitely sell out. But, really, even during sold out party nights, Main Street and the Castle Hub are the only areas that are super crowded. If you watch the second parade in Frontierland, the crowds will be much less.

We went to the last night last year, it was the 20th and also a Friday. Yes, it was sold out but we truly had a fantastic time! It will sell out this year again, but I say go for it!

Good info as I am contemplating going this night as well. I'm waiting on approval from school since the 19th is a finals day, so I'm trying to move the tests to the day before. For those experienced, how soon does this sell out typically? I may not know for another week or so if we can make it that day.

As others have said, it will most likely be sold out since it is the last party and is a Friday, with a lot of locals attending. With that said, I would go. Yes, it will be crowded, but the parties are a lot of fun and it's a great way to get into the holiday spirit.

It's hard to tell, but since it is the last party, I would get tickets as soon as possible as it can sell out at any time. Good luck.

Thanks all!! Bought the tickets today ... I am not sure who is more excited - me or the kids (think it honestly is me !!!). Nothing left to do but wait ......

I would go, that's just me though. Will it be busy? Yes. Will it be less busy than durning normal hours? Also a yes.
