Has anyone been to MVMCP alone? What was your experience?

I am heading to WDW in december, and MVMCP is on 3 out of my 4 nights, and I would to try it, especially to see Wishes and the parade. Would I have fun on my own, or is it better to go in a family/friends group?

:cool1:

When are you going in December? While I was technically solo last December, I was there during Mousefest and was able to join up with some fellow internet friends for a few meets. I joined some friends for a HM meet, then went and joined another group for Twas the Night Before Christmas and then eventually joined yet another group for Wishes. In between I did some rides, watched some entertainment, went shopping and did some snacking on my own. And when I was tired, I left, without having to get anyone elses approval. That is my favorite part about traveling solo. Just doing what I want, when I want!

I was able to get everything I wanted to do by 11pm. I'm sure I would do MVMCP solo again if I had the opportunity.

I think you'd have a wonderful time alone! There are so many shows to see and other street entertainment... by yourself you could enjoy each one as long as you like. And "Christmas Wishes" is very very special... and the Christmas parade is amazing!

And dizneycc is right, there was a DIS-meet one night we went last year... right at the party! If there isn't one just start a thread and make your own!! Then you'll have lots of friends to party with! :wave2:

I was semi-solo for MVMCP last year and was solo at MNSSHP. I had a great time at both!!! As much as I enjoy WDW with family and friends, sometimes it's quite enjoyable to have your time be your own, too.

I loved Wishes and the parade at both. There are little to no waits for attractions. And the atmosphere can't be beat. I know you'll enjoy your experience very much!

Hi,

I agree with everyone here. December is a wonderful time to go solo because you not only get to meet up with some great people as well as getting some alone time, you also get to see WDW all dolled up for the holidays.

I am going to do this when i'm older. But I was wondering also if it was much fun being alone on trips?

I like solo trips just as much as traveling with others. The first time I went alone to WDW, it was just for a day when I was on a business trip. Before then I always took DS about once a year. Being on my own was a revelation because I discovered what a good time I had - being able to do exactly what I wanted, when I wanted at my favorite place on Earth. I also realized how important it is to take an "It's all about me" break once in awhile to recharge the batteries. Since then I've done three solo trips ranging from 4 - 8 days. I intend to do a solo trip every other year from now on. For me, there's no better way to recharge than being on my own at the happiest place on Earth! I bet you'd like it, too.

It was at meal time that I missed my family the most. I never felt out of place though.

I don't know how to describe a solo trip. It's fun, but in a different way than being with family or friends. I totally enjoy both. It is relaxing sometimes to have your own time schedule to do whatever you want to do and linger wherever and whenever you want to do it.
