I see there's a thread on this for the MNSSHP and I would be interested in reading one on MVMCP.:santa:

We will be attending our first party this November 20th. :santa:

So, for all you folks that have attended a party or two, please forward me some tips, please..

The 2nd parade is less crowded that the first~ usually

Must check out the snow on Main Street

If you have little ones, make sure they take a good nap that day so they can stay up late and
take it all in

Have fun! :santa:

We are going Nov. 14th. Do not miss the fireworks, they were wonderful, the parade is great too.

Character people...princesses are on a schedule; find out what time they switch so you an line up and not be disappointed (by IASW, Belle/Beast were switching off with SW and Snow Prince every 30 minutes)

Dance parties are a BLAST!!! The party at the grotto had Cindy's stepmother and sisters dancing and we were there for 3 parties (also every hour on the hour)

Nap/pool/shop during the day; show up around 4pm; eat before 6pm.

Don't rush to leave right at the end of a party...wait for buses will be very long!

Be sure to see Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas. It's a very cute show that's done several times during the party. But, be sure to get there very early - at least 30 minutes prior to the show. Our showing was standing room only but we were early enough to get good seats.

What's the dance party? Do we get to dance????:cool1: If so, my poor kids (DS10 and DS11) will be so embarassed! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My plan for the day so far is sleep in, breakfast/brunch at CM, pool time if warm enough and then head to MCMCP at 4pm! :cool1: :santa: :santa:

I'll see a lot of you on the 20th!:santa:

we went last year with our DD5, in Cosmic Rays (a counter service restaurant) was a dance party, Goofy in his Santa costume and the 2 chipmunks in scarves and hats and 2 adorable santas helpers (Rockette like looking women about 30 yrs old):santa: - we got food and sat and ate while really enjoying the fun dancing frolicking atmousphere around us, and then she danced with the elfettes and chipmonks, she loved it, its fun to people watch, lots of peoplewatchers just standing around too.

since u asked for tips............I suggest u forget that rides even exist in MK:lmao: :rotfl2: and only do christmas party things, because theres usually another day to do MK on your trip!
We did this and it was great.

:thumbsup2 I agree!!! You're there for the party!!! So....party!:rotfl:

Do the shows early on, while people are lining up for the first parade, and during the first parade. By the time the second parade starts, the park will be quite a bit more thinned out.

Don't spend a lot of time early on waiting in the hot chocolate/cookie lines. There will be plenty for later, after the early crowd has spent their time in those lines.

But and wear some of the great Christmas hats, lots of laughs.

When you watch the parade, try watching in Frontierland, much less crowded then either Main Street or the hub area.

Enjoy, it is a fun night.

I will be going on Nov. 20'th as well. Looks like it is a popular night! If you are interested in seeing Snow White and all 7 dwarfs together they are usually in Fantasyland right by the path that goes down to Toon town kind of across from the Winnie the Pooh ride. Definatly wear some sort of Christmas hat for fun pictures. I like to watch the parade both times because there is so much going on that you want to see it all!

does anyone have the complete schdule of times for all the events??

You can find last year's schedule and map right here on the DIS under "Events" and then under December.

They do not release this year's schedule till the first party.

I thought we couldn't get in before 7? Will they let you in early?
