MVMCP- A Couple Questions

Okay, I am trying to decide if this worth doing. My little ones will be 4 & 5. With a nap in the afternoon we are thinking they might make it until about 10PM.... but no way will they last the whole time. So, my concern is that the tickets are going to cost between 200-250.. is this worth that much $$$ for possibly only 3 hours? What do they do at MVMCP (besides shows) that we cannot see during regular park hours? Do they do the castle lights every night or only during the party? I know we have some time to worry about this, but would love to hear from anyone that has attended. Thanks!

I also need to make this decision. I don't think my little ones can make it very far into the evening (even with an afternoon break) - so I'm not sure it's worth the extra money.

*OR* there's a chance we would go, but couldn't get to MVMCP until 8 or so (due to ADR with the family) - is it worth it to go late and stay until 11?

They might surprise you. My DD at 4 & 6 made it through the 2nd parade and the view was really good. We watched from Fantasyland. The night we went was sold out and the crowds were really good for rides. The line for the Night Before Christmas was long but we got in. You could enter for the party at 4 in the past so you would have a few more hours. The lights were lit each night last year. DD loved the dance party. Do a search for MVMCP and there will be lots of info on threads for you.

You cannot see the Christmas parade or Holidaywishes other than at the party.

The Christmas shows are sometimes shown on Saturdays but otherwise can only be seen at MVMCP.

Characters will be out and about in their finest.

The ride lines will be minimal.

It will snow on Main Street during the parades.

I've been taking my kids every year since my kids were 1 and 4 and we always stay till after the second parade and sometimes they're both awake and sometimes the younger one was asleep but the older one made it to the end every time except one year when she was very sick (age 6). She fell asleep at about 9:30p and we left after the second parade. We only stayed because she begged us to stay for the parade and video tape it for her.

Good luck deciding.

We have gone the past two years and I wouldn't dream of missing this year. So, yes we are going. We love being able to just walk on to rides and see the shows. The dance parties are fun as well. Definitely worth the $$ to me.

We've gone with little ones and it is worth it to us. We also leave early and didn't see all the shows we could have. I think the parade may be worth it alone! Magical. Plus, on our other day(s) at MK we stay for SPectro only. So we do the parade and wishes on MVMCP night. My boys were so happy eating their cookies while waiting for wishes. The little guy fell asleep but my almost-5yo was in heaven watching in amazement (hasn't seem much fire works).

I also don't do hoppers and don't do parks on 1st or last day, so thats how I justify the extra here.
