I've been seeing some of you say the if you want the package deal you need to go through AAA. I booked room only directly through WDW, and was planning to call back to add the dining and tickets. They said I can do this, is that right?

Also, seems like you guys get great deals through AAA...if I get an estimate of a better deal through them, can I call WDW and request that they let me go through AAA? I had asked about the discount with WDW, and the WDW rep said that AAA would have room only discounts, not packages. So now I'm really confused if you guys are saying to book the package through AAA.

Thanks!

I just did that last week. I just called WDW and told them of the AAA discount and they adjusted the price for me. I just have to bring my card in when I check in.

It is my understanding that you can only get the room discount and the dining plan by going through a AAA agency. You can book a room-only AAA discount through Disney and any other travel agency, but not the dining add-on.

I transferred a Disney-booked reservation to a AAA agency, but they ended up cancelling the one I booked and rebooking a new one with the discount. I had to fax a statement authorizing the transfer to the agency. Not a big deal. They tell you the info you need on the fax.

Unless this is something new, you cannot get the AAA discount and dining through Disney or any other travel agency. I'd get it in writing and compare to what AAA quotes you.

Hope this helps.
