Really...just found the perfect contract for us! However, we are recieving closing documents today for our "almost" perfect contract. We are SOOOOO excited to be moving forward and almost DVC'ers (1st purchase!) but seeing that contract today...it was fully-loaded and is making me drool!:confused3

My husband says I am driving myself crazy by looking at the emails I get from the resale sellers...ya I know that...but I can't seem to stop!

I can relate....but I'm telling myself that no more looking till I see if what I currently have offers with pass ROFR.

:goodvibes yeah those things always happen. I have a contract at ROFR and I'd guess it to have a 50/50 chance of passing. The pragmatic side of me says to keep an eye on what's out there in case it doesn't pass. But the hesitant and emotional side says to STOP LOOKING because it's too easy to have buyer's remorse. So far, my contract beats out all others with price and points. I guess that's good and reinforces my decision.

I had the same predicament and almost cancelled my original contract just prior to closing. However, I decided to keep with my original offer since I'd lose my deposit at that late stage. Buying resale can be a guessing game - you never know when your "perfect" contract will come about so I think many bid on an "almost perfect" scenario.

Me too! Our first contract is still waiting on ROFR and I am looking for our next. We'll decide after our next trip where we want to buy.

I think this is a common issue. We decided up front we were going to buy at two different resorts, but I prefer to wait until our first DVC stay before bidding on a second contract (unless, of course, the PERFECT contract comes along :lmao:)

It's those perfect contracts that tempt us all to give in and buy more.

It started for me on the first contract, was "kicking the tires " on my first call to fidelity, was in contract 2 days later. Closed, booked 2 vacations and realized i need more points, have been rejected on 4 fair offers. I am almost hopeing i don't get accepeted until my first stay.......but it doesn't look good as i have an offer pending as i type:rotfl2:

I fell off the wagon and am bidding on another contract today. :guilty:

The one from yesterday doesn't count as I passed on it. :rolleyes1

Don't own any BCV, but would like to. Have bid previously on a couple of contracts, but no luck. Mostly it's because the BCV contracts are selling for more than I want to pay.
Yes but you could ask a premium for renting those points. Saw a BWV ad on that "off" site (not one of the big 4) that basically said the seller was desperate and would consider anything reasonable. I thought, "oh, be careful what you ask for". It's about 300 pts
