Hi everyone! We will arrive early on Friday for our 4 day stay and we will have a little time before MVMCP. We would like to visit some other resorts to see the decorations. This is our first Christmas trip. Can anyone tell me the "not to be missed" resorts?? Thanks!

Well, our favorites are the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and the Y&B Club. I'm sure others will ring in with their favorites. We're heading down on 12/28 for 10 days - have a great time!

I was there less than two weeks ago, the lobby of the Grand Floridian looks beautiful. The tree is awesome, and they also have a giant gingerbread house. Be sure that you check out the tree lighting time at Epcot!

Don't miss the Grand Floridian. I loved BWI's lobby too. I would go see all the deluxes if I had time, but if I had to pick only one, then it would be GF.

Quite frankly all of them are "not to missed". Not sure where you are staying but doing a walk around the Epcot resorts will wow you. If you are going to the Christmas party, you could do a monorail tour and still be wowed. Read the information cards on how the things were made and you will be amazed.

If you are at Pop Century, it's a very quick drive over to the Epcot Resorts. You can park at the Boardwalk and do a tour over there. Don't forget the Swan. I honestly can't remember too much about the Dolphin's decorations. The Boardwalk's were great.

I would say the Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge - they both are breathtaking at Christmas time. Last year we popped in the GF lobby on our way to Narcoossees for dinner and they had the orchestra playing and a girls choir singing around the Christmas tree. The WL is just as spectacular and we love to sit by the fireplace and enjoy the atmosphere of the lobby.

Don't go to the AKL or Poly looking for the decorations on the food network special, because they aren't there. We wanted to see that little village outside Boma, the girl told me those were last years decorations (to me the show made it sound like they did something like this every year) but this year there was nothing. The same goes at the poly they told me to be sure to go to the Grand Floridian,.. which we did and it is beautiful. But we were a bit disappointed at the others.

We like to park at FW, take a boat to WL, a boat to CR, then a monorail to GF. Then finish the monorail to MK, and boat back to FW. CR doesn't have great decorations, we just switch from boat, to monorail there, and FW is really just a good starting spot.

Thanks SO much Jcricket! I was trying to figure out the best way to see them all! That sounds great! We actually stayed at Fort Wilderness in October 2005 and we loved being able to ride the boat!

So do we, we took my mom and dad last year, and they still talk about the boat ride.

If anyone is going to the Y&BC, be sure to walk around the lake to the BW. The looby is just beautiful as is the huge tree on the lawn.

The Poly, BW, GF, WL and AKL were my favorite. We love resort hopping so we normally see at least all the deluxes' decorations. All the resorts are beautiful this time of year though, so I don't think you'll be dissapointed where ever you decide to visit.

FW is my favorite. The decorations that Disney puts up are great, but the decorations at the camp sites are amazing. People use lights, animatronics, even snowblowers to compete with each other, and the results are so go Disney should charge admission for it! :rotfl2: :santa:
