I'm going to WDW this fall with a first-timer. We're adults. He's never really seen a Disney movie (but I love him anyway!). Is there any movie that in your opinion would increase his experience at WDW?

I'm going to watch The Little Mermaid with him because it's my favorite and we're dressing in costumes from that movie for MNSSHP but other than that I can't think of anything he "must see" or he wouldn't "get" a ride/attraction or show. Anything you can think of?

Well BatB would be good the stage show is sorta of the summary. Star Wars for star tours. Song of the south for splash (joking!!).

Honestly any movie outside of things like parent trap and computer that wore tennis shoes. Helps with the backstory of who the characters are and interacting with them.

I can't wait to see how aurora handles talking about malificent now.

Yes I second BATB,that would def enhance the show at Hollywood studios and the Be Our Guest restaurant!

I'm giving my mother a disney education before we go as she hasn't seen any movies other than the classics like Snow White and Cinderella lol.

I would add maybe Finding Nemo for finding Nemo the musical, Toy Story since there's a lot of Toy story theming and characters to meet as well as buzz lightyear spin and midway madness rides!

You should watch Toy Story if you are going to Do TSMM and Space Ranger Spin. Scratch that. Everyone should see Toy Story at least once. Period!

Dumbo, of course has lots of tie-in now. Beauty and the Beast is a must because, in addition to BOG restaurant, there is Enchanted Tales with Belle, Gaston's Tavern where he really does use antlers in all of his decorating and his fountain is there too. And even Maurice's popcorn cart will be better appreciated once he's seen the movie.

Even saving Mr Banks, in my opinion, is a fun one for any Disney lover or visitor to watch. I just loved watching "the Sherman brothers" at work as well as "Walt" in it.

Honestly, you should make him watch them all. That's a prerequisite for any guys my daughters date. They must like Disney Movies!

Why not start with a Disney movie in an interest of his. Does he like Sports, Motor Racing, Sci-Fi, nature, Comedy, Crime, Action, whatever his personal interests, it's likely there's a Disney movie in that genre.

So if you let us know something about him and ideally his favourite movies we'll be able to recommend some Disney movies to get his interest up.

Lion King. Regardless if you are seeing FotLK in AK. The show really is just the highlights and you need to see the movie to truly grasp why the songs are important and the storyline. And it's a good movie regardless!

BatB due to the expansion and the show at HS.

Cinderella just due to the huge castle. Pirates of the Caribbean and Aladdin for Adventureland. Toy Story for Buzz and TSM and it's a great movie.

And if he isn't princess movie'd out, Snow White for the new ride and historical aspect of it

Beauty and The Beast
Toy Story (all of them if you can)
Peter Pan
Snow White
Star Wars (all of them if you can, although they're not technically Disney movies)
The Lion King

Also, any old episodes of the Muppet Show if you plan on going to the Muppet 3D show at DHS. It's incredible to walk into that theatre if you've watched the show...just like being there! I loved the Muppet Show as a kid and even though I'm 37, I feel like a kid again when I go see that show at DHS. :)
