I did see the local post, and I am assuming it's all in there.
So far our list consists of High Voltage Tattoo, Grand Central Market, and Rodeo Drive.
We have 2 boys 8 and 11, as well, so anything to make it more exciting for them? We are staying away from any bus tours!

To be honest, the places you mentioned are not personally interesting for me. It depends on what you like, of course, but I'm hoping you aren't too let down by those places. There are way more fun things to do. If you like the beach, I would 10000% go to Santa Monica and visit the pier/beach/Third St. Promenade/Santa Monica Place. I think that's fun for little ones, the pier I mean, and even the Promenade can be fun for the family (especially the ones that like shopping
