I did see the local post, and I am assuming it's all in there.

So far our list consists of High Voltage Tattoo, Grand Central Market, and Rodeo Drive.

We have 2 boys 8 and 11, as well, so anything to make it more exciting for them? We are staying away from any bus tours!

Do you and your boys like cars? Check out the Peterson Auto Museum. Also, the La Brea Tar Pits are just a block away -- that's a pretty cool place to see what used to live in L.A. Disney's El Capitan Theatre might be fun -- check to see what will be playing there. You can get a VIP package with reserved seating, a popcorn bucket, and soda. The Disney Soda Fountain is right next door -- do your boys like ice cream sundaes? Hollywood & Highland is across the street from the El Capitan. The Dolby Theater (home of the Oscars) is there, Cirque du Soleil has a show there (might have ended by the time of your trip), and there are places to eat. Angel's Flight funicular is just north of Grand Central Market -- that is a piece of L.A. history. Your boys might like to ride just for the experience. There is a fun fountain at the Music Center (one of the first ones in L.A. to come right out of the ground -- no surrounding pool) -- lots of kids love playing there.
Hope this helps!

I believe the Cirque show will be closed by then, yes. If your little ones have any interest in boats whatsoever, go to the Queen Mary in Long Beach. It's SO COOL. I also really like Griffith Observatory at night, but maybe not for little ones. ;) To be honest, the places you mentioned are not personally interesting for me. It depends on what you like, of course, but I'm hoping you aren't too let down by those places. There are way more fun things to do. If you like the beach, I would 10000% go to Santa Monica and visit the pier/beach/Third St. Promenade/Santa Monica Place. I think that's fun for little ones, the pier I mean, and even the Promenade can be fun for the family (especially the ones that like shopping:).
