Must pack items?

We pack a lot of OBVIOUS stuff.... GOOD rain gear, 300 weight fleece jackets (November)...

But look above, and see how many folks bring POWER EXTENDERS. Strips, cords, you name it.
We bring this as well - because there are DAMN few outlets in the WDW Hotel rooms. And bring your OWN 110V USB chargers - wall mounted units can be a security risk.

I heard a fun idea on how to spread some pixie dust on your trip. When/if you go to purchase yourself some cheap ponchos beforehand, grab a few more. Then if rain strikes, you can gift them to a family who needs them. Inexpensive and a really kind gesture.

Wow that's a wonderful idea :)

We plan on going in January of 2018 hopefully lol

Are there places onsite to wash clothes?
Yup. For us it's much easier to pack knowing we can wash clothes mid-trip. When we stayed at CSR, the machines were near the quiet pools, so I would drop the stuff in laundry and cool off in the pool while it ran. I've also used the ones st WL.

That list you responded to is what we always pack too. It helps keep the rooms neat. I also bought those fabric, pop-up CD boxes... one for each member of the family. They could each put their stuff in it and helped keep the room organized. They are also easy to pack. I hate a messy hotel room.

A million years ago, I was standing in line at rope drop. It was super hot out and I was wearing a short sleeved shirt. I rolled up the sleeves and kept trying to get them to stay above my shoulders, but every move I made, made them fall back down. A CM came out of nowhere, noticing my struggle, and offered me some safety pins. I now always pack them and just keep them in my wallet!

I also shop at Disney Store . com prior to the trip, during a sale event, and get autograph books, T shirts etc... Much cheaper than buying in the parks.

Unique to packing for WDW-I always pack dish soap to wash our refillable mugs. The last two trips I brought the bounty paper towels with dawn in it. I also bring glow bracelets and necklaces for nights in the parks. Lastly I put "whose shoes" tags on my kid's shoes in case they get lost. I found them on amazon.

I'm gonna do what was mentioned in the Displugged podcast: insert dish soap into little sponges and let them dry before packing them as ready-to-use and quick to dispose sponges

I'm also bringing two pairs of shoes: One for walking in the parks, and house shoes for when I'm back in my hotel room. And a cardigan in case it gets cold.

I would also bring two pairs of pjs, one short sleeve/thin and one long sleeve/thick. My body gets sensitive to temperature changes and sometimes I'll end up changing pjs in the middle of the night depending on the temps.

Ponchos, ponchos and more ponchos. We like to have extra ones if they get really wet since sometimes they are not dry when we are going back out. We also bring power strips, cleaning products (wipes, dish soap, and laundry soap-always get something dirty that can't wait until we get home). We clean everything down once we first get in the room.

This is a great thread. We bought a few disposable ponchos a few weeks ago, and we are debating whether or not to buy some nicer ones as well. I think we'll get some of the nice ones too. I'm actually HOPING for a few sprinkles to keep the crowds away.

I read on one blog, that small pool toys are a decent idea. We're bringing cheap squirt guns, goggles, and diving sticks.

Imodium . . . not kidding at all on this one. No way I'm skipping a day at the $$$$$$ parks, and after eating lots of new, rich foods Imodium is my best friend!

For any of the winter month trips, those small $1 stretchy gloves to keep in the backpack are great for night time parades and touring.

Best thing about bringing your own cheap ponchos is you can find your family a lot easier, since they are not wearing the Disney ponchos, like a million other people in the parks!

I keep a little first aid kit in my Disney backpack. Just band aids, a couple alcohol wipes, Neosporin and blister bandages. It has saved us a trip to the real first aid more than once.

pump hand soap, hand sanitizers for backpack
detergent pods, softener sheets, color catchers, pop-up hampers
ziploc bags, garbage bags
night light, white noise machine
over the door shoe organizer, multi-rack hangers
body glide, band aids, large array of OTC meds
battery power bar for cellphone charging in parks
