Must have things to get for upcoming trip w/ 2.5yr old

We're going March 17th-23rd, woohoo! We've never been before but I've been researching like crazy to learn. I've got a short list of things to buy that I wouldn't have thought of without researching, but I'm sure there are a bunch of other things that I'll never think of.
Its the three of us, DH, me, DD (2 yrs 9mos at the time of the trip)

Here's my list:
child sized ear plugs
Battery operated handheld fan
Good waterbottles (nalgene etc)
Small snacks (dry cereal, graham crackers etc) and breakfast stuff
Shoe ID tags for DD
Window clings for airplane window playing
Silver sharpie (or some color) to write on Mickey Mouse Ears hat
Rolls of pennies to throw in fountains
Hand-holder Molly leash (or something?)
Gallon Ziploc bags
Sunglasses for everyone
Wipes
Ponchos

We'll be bringing our own Chico umbrella stroller.


Tell me what else I need that I wouldn't think of on my own.

ETA: she is day potty-trained and has been for several months, so we'll just be bringing a handful of diapers to sleep in (she doesn't always use one overnight, but for securities sake...)

Here are a few more things:

* small light or light spinner toy for dark rides and parades (will save you from buying $$$ at WDW)...glow sticks are fun too!

* empty sippy cup...fill up after security for plane ride.

* fruit chews for ear pressure on plane...yawning also works

I always bring my son's thermometer just in case he gets sick. Also, some hand sanitizing wipes.

We are taking our DD (2y 5 months) in March also and some things we are taking:

- I love the tubes that M&M mini's come in. I fill them with other snacks (cereal, fruit snacks, etc) and throw a bunch into our bag. They are small and sealed, they are really easy for DD to hold on to, and things don't get all smooshed like they tend to do in Ziplock bags.

- We bought a bottle attachment that will fit on most 20 oz bottles, fruit juice bottles and water bottles so that it turns any bottle into a sippy. It isn't leak proof, so I would use it in the car - but it's handy for throwing on a bottle of water to keep them hydrated.

If you are using a Disney stroller, a thicker blanket or two to use as padding.
Spring type clothespins to secure a poncho or your stroller cover to the Disney stroller body.
Sanitizing wipes to use on tables, chair backs, stroller handles.
A unique patterned scarf to tie on the stroller handle makes it easier to identify your stroller in a sea of them.
If still in diapers/pull ups, a package of the Hefty Mini Trashbags To Go
Food for the plane...always food for the plane!!!
A few disney themed mini board books...have the characters sign 'em...aslo easy to play with when waiting on line!
A sweater/sweatshirt to wear in restaurants...AC can cause chills!

Dont forget her water shoes or crocs. There are lots of areas for water play! If she likes the pool I would bring your own water wings or swim vest. They sometimes have vests to "borrow" but I found it was better to just bring our own...my kids love the water/pools :}

I heartily endorse going to the dollar store (or whatever you have in your area) and buy a bunch of glow stix. You'll save a small fortune.

Also, don't forget to bring an extra set of clothes with you to the parks. There are several opportunities for your little one to play in/with/on water. If you don't have a change of clothes, you won't be able to let her "stop and smell the roses" so to speak. Some of my most enjoyable times have been while sitting with a coffee and watching the kids play in one of the water areas.

A thought about pennies. Last trip my DSIL used bright pennies as a reward for good behavior for DGS (then age 4). If he was well behaved, when he spotted a penny press he would get to do one. He was motivated!! And it gave him a few souvenirs.

If baby is still in diapers, don't forget swim diapers.

Where will the baby be sleeping? If you're using the hotel's crib/Pack N Play, you may want to bring your own sheet. It's sometimes easier for a little one to fall asleep in a strange place if it smells a little like home.

Wide-brimmed hat for protection from sun

Thermometer/ Tylenol/Motrin

Blanket for extra shade in stroller. I drape a blanket over the hood of the stroller for extra protection from the sun.

Rain cover for your stroller

Toys & books for plane and also for down-time in the hotel room

If still in diapers, then disposable changing pads and scented bags for stinky diaper disposal.

A travel screwdriver for battery compartment of fan & lots of batteries

for our kiddos we bought misting fans at wal mart. They were a big hit and way cheaper than the ones at the parks!

I bought ours at our local CVS, but we never needed them. I offered them, but the kids just covered their ears with their hands. (They didn't need them for the pool.)
Also, if you have a Disney store nearby, check out the sale tables for some shirts to pack with you. Much cheaper than at the park, and more fun to wear down! This was a great tip for us.
Second the PP with buying small lights or glow sticks. The light-up necklaces that they sell before Spectromagic and Fantasmic shows are about $5 each.
Carry some quarters for the penny press machines; they will be a big hit, and also fun to watch out for. They are everywhere!
