Must have FP for FOP to RS?

Good Afternoon DISers
So FP day is tomorrow and I thought I had a sound plan to schedule two FPs for my DH and DD7 while my DS3 and I FP Navii then I would do a RS after they are done with FOP. However, I’ve been reading all the previous posts concerning this where some people are claiming that I also have to have a FP for FOP to even get a RS voucher. The last time someone posted about this topic was Oct. 2018. What’s the trend been like in the last year regarding this? Have you had a situation where the CM demanded you have a FP too when trying to request a RS? I would be sick at my stomach if I lost out on a chance to ride FOP because I assumed wrong. If you were me, would you book a FP for FOP to be on the safe side and just let young son not ride anything during this time? Thanks so much for sharing your experience.

If you'll be sick to your stomach for missing it, book the FP for it. Best not to mess around with it if it's a "can't miss" attraction.

Definitely get a FP for yourself, too, if you want to be sure you can ride FoP.
Depending on what time you get to Pandora, you could ride Navi in standby or just explore the land with your 3 year old.

What you described — 1 adult and older kid rode fop with FP. asked for rider swap for 2nd adult. 2nd adult and younger kid rode Navi. 2nd adult then used swap to ride FOP

we did the same thing st HD (slinky dog / toy story ) and MK (sdmt/pooh ride) with zero issues.

I don't think we would have needed it for both, but even with FPP it took over an hour for us to both ride with RS. DS6 said it was "terrifying" and didn't want to ride a second time anyway. I got one FPP for rides is ridden before, like RNRC and TOT, SM, but two for can't miss/ first time rides.
