Hi All!
What are the must have apps for a DL trip? Seems like there are a ton of WDW apps but not so much for DL. What do you recommend? (we are android folks in this house, so hopefully that's an option)

The most common apps you hear mentioned here on the Disboards are Mousewait and Disneyland Wait Times. Both apps rely on users in the parks to provide current wait times, so they're only as good as the number of guests that are using it. I've found that both can be pretty spot on or completely off...it just depends on when it was last updated and what estimate the person put in (i.e., the time they actually waited, the time posted on the sign board, or some other time entirely). I would download a couple of different apps and use all of them to get a general sense of the wait times rather than rely on any one app. I would also add in "Ask Otto" which is a phone system (you have to call) operated by Disneyland Resort.

I think one reason you don't see many DLR apps versus WDW apps is that DLR does not have wifi available. I use a wait time app (Disneyland Wait Times) but otherwise try to limit my data usage.

Last time we were there, we used a combo of mousewait, Lines, and Disneyland Wait Times, and we found that between the three, we had a pretty good sense of what was going on.

I use Mouse Wait for line wait times. However, the app I use the most is Disneyland Dining. It has all of the menus for all of the restaurants in DL, DCA, DTD and the hotels. The menus are available many places on line but I like having them at my fingertips, it makes it easier to make healthier food choices.

I like Lines a lot. The Disneyland Explorer app is a lot of fun, but it's HUGE. I also have one called Disney Parks Mobile Magic, but I don't know if it works anymore - it only connects in the parks. The great thing about that one is that it tells you where and when characters are meeting, even those that don't appear on the Time Guide.
