I've got the autograph book for DS and I'm trying to figure out what else I need to get.

I know about the Guest of Honor Badges..... but where can I get one of the 50th celebration one's before we go that is personalized??

Also, I have heard about the passport from Epcot........ can someone tell me more about this, and where I can get one, again before we go??

The reason I'm wanting them before we go is that I'm making DS an "arrival basket", and I would like to have all his things in it when he gets it. ( DH is going to have the CM at check-in give it to him.

I have a Pal Mickey, Sorcerers light up hat, and I'm making him an autograph book, I think the GofH badge, the epcot passport, and anything else I "need"(lol) would be good. I'm not a big candy fan, so, I probably won't put much candy.

We are doing all the parks...... is there other things like the passport that would be good for a 6 year old??? It's so hard to know what all is out there..... so you guys let me know!!!!! I appreciate it so much!!!

OH, it is also my b-day trip, so I'll be getting a birthday pin.......... is there anything like that for my DS???

Thanks you guys, you are the BEST!!!!

I'm also thinking of getting a basket from Feralpeg............. her's are great!!!

anyone??? does anyone know if I can get disney dollars before we go??? if so, where from?? Thanks

They are little passport books that you take to each country and have stamped to show you were there. DD7 loved it last year! She enjoyed all the people teaching her to say words in different languages and spelling her name in their language!

I have a backpack that Mickey is "delivering" on our door step the morning that we head to the airport. In it, I have: wallet, Disney $$'s, fanny pack, sunglasses, fan, batteries, disposable camera, kid poncho, glow stix, glow necklaces, watch, crayons, color book, goggles, - I am sure there is more, but I am drawing a blank....shocking, I know!!! hahahhaha

It will be delivered in a big Mickey Mouse gift bag on the front porch with a letter (in Mickey Fonts, of course) telling her to have a great trip, have fun on the flight and that he will see her there! I can't wait to see her face when she finds it!

EDITED: OOPS, Knew I had forgotten stuff - autograph book, pen...

The Days of Christmas store in DTD will ship engraved GOH badges for you. The Epcot passports are only available in Epcot.

If you can't figure a way to get them, let me know. I can always ship some to you.

Thanks everyone............ Feralpeg, I just LOVE you!!! You must be the pixie -est of all. You are such a lovely person. I've seen / heard of some of the magic you spread. I just wanted to say how great I think it is, and love that you do that!!!

I'm going to call about the GOH badge, and get it ordered.
If I can't locate a passport for epcot, I'll send you a pm. Thanks so much!!!

Anyone have anymore ideas on things I can add or get?? Thanks everyone!!

tn_disney_addict ~ that is a cute idea!!! I'm wanting to make DS a basket, but I'm also considering ordering one from Feralpeg.......... I have some things already, but I just know I'm going to forget something!!! I love the passport idea, I know my ds would really enjoy doing that. He is 5 and just started kindergarden a few days ago...... so, I'm looking for things he can bring back to show at school as well. I've been reading other threads all morning.......... trying to find out all the great ideas everyone has.

Again, Thanks everyone!!!

I'm putting all kinds of fun stuff in my welcome basket. New Disney beach towels, pin trading lanyard with some pins, park maps, park tickets, Cirque tickets, a WDW dining guide, film, autograph book, fat pen, etc. You could also get things like music to listen to on the plane, a favorite Disney DVD, WDW t-shirt, or order some Mickey candy from the parks ahead of time. Mouse ears are good, but those are sometimes fun to get in the park when you get there. My basket is for an adult, but hopefully this gives you some more ideas.

Mindbender - Thanks ~ I'm wanting to get him the 50th ears, with his name embroidered on them, but I'm assuming that'll have to wait until we get there. I've gotten him some DVD's that he can watch, to familiarize him with the "World", even though he's been before, I think he was too young to actually realize what's going on......... I got an "extra" buzz light spinner last year, so it's brand new, I'm going to add that to his basket as well.
We are going to go over to the Disney Store at the mall to see what they have............ I got him buzz pj's last year, so maybe I'll get him something like that for his basket as well???

Thanks!!

If he's anything like I was at that age, I LOVED to swim. And, there are tons of Disney pool items you could get like towels, goggles, flip-flops, beach balls, board shorts, etc. Go wild! It makes it all that much more fun! My parents always got me things to do on the plane/car ride, too, like coloring, or puzzles and such whenever we went on a vacation.

He does love to swim!! Last year he was able to swim, he loved the slide at POFQ. I'm hoping he'll get too this year and it won't be too cold. Thanks for the idea!!

I can't remember where I got the passports, but two years ago I ordered passports and the name tags from some outfit I learned about here, and they arrived before our trip.

Sorry I can't remember the service, but they did mail them to us! Maybe somebody else knows.

A disposable camera, new PJ's (almost always on sale at the Disney Store), an M&M tube filled with quarters and pennies (for all the pressed penny machines), glow necklaces (from the Dollar Store).

You can order the Passport and name badge from WDW Merchandising. Don't know the #, but i just saw it posted a few days ago on hese threads. Just do a search or ask again.

Have a great trip! Kathy :earsgirl:

I actually hadn't thought about the camera, he loves to take his "own" pictures, so that would be a super idea.

Thanks

Any other ideas????

I am having a basket delivered to the room prior to our arrival as it will be my DS 7th birthday trip. I am having 3 mylar and 6 latex ballons delivered with a goofy plush (thats his favorite character) and a note that says "We hope you have a goofy birthday! Love, Your Disney Pals I also included a tigger for DS who is 4. Added "P.S. Tigger know Logan loves to bounce so, please give him this Tigger toy!" I didn't want to leave little brother out. I am also having a cake delivered to Dinner at Chef Mickey's and of course, the birthday button.

You may want to find out who your childs favorite character is so, he or she is in the basket (I'm terrible, didn't know Goofy was DS's fave). I noiced at Disney Direct you can get some of the pins personalized. I don't know about the specific one you want. We got the personalized tags at the Christmas Store in Downtown Disney someone already mentioned. A personlized tag or pin of some kind is great because, then some of the characters will personalize the autographs in the autograph book. Also be sure to manage what page the characters sign so, you can stick in the corrosponding picture later.

Have a great trip!

Thanks Amy!!

I've gotten him the Pal Mickey, and he loves Buzz, but he's crazy for Minnie, however, I think if I added her, he'd get upset!!!

He just loved her last year, I have the cutest pic of him hugging her.......... it was so sweet!!! I'm going to the Disney Store over the weekend to see if we can find some more ideas, and to hopefully get him some pj's!!!

Thanks everyone, all your ideas have been great!

Hey Wendy- The Disney Store here in BR has lots of PJs. They are out of the short style, but had all new long legged ones. I was there last week and they had one wall of stuff on clearance. You may have to dig a little, but there are some good buys. Also, the small plush toys were 2 for $10. The regular 12 inch size were 2 for $20- not bad since the parks probably charge much more. We've already stocked up on those for our trip in a week. Have fun on your trip and Geaux Tigers!!!!

Hey Brandi ~

Wow, I wish we were going in 9 days......... lucky you!!!! Yeah, we are going to go over to the Disney Store over the weekend, I'm glad to hear they have some things on clearance....... I can buy more!!!! :earboy2:

You guys have a great time!!!
