Must foods when visiting disneyland

Subbing as we will be there soon and need to know what to replace Tonga Toast & Dole Whips with!!

These are my anytime foods: Pomme Frites with the Cajun Remoulade at Cafe Orleans, the Corn Dogs at the Little Red Wagon on Main Street, the Dole Whips at the stand by the Tiki Room, the Boardwalk Field of Greens salad at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta in DCA, and the soft serve ice cream cones at the Cozy Cones in Carsland.

Just YUM!

If you like Corn Dogs...you must try one at DLR. Mickey Ice Cream Bars and Sandwiches are yummy too.
My husband has to have a turkey leg everyday we are there. I am good for a bite or two, but that's it. They are gigantic!

Must. Have. Mickey head Ice cream bar! I'm also fond of the Mickey Head Pretzels over on the pier at California Adventure. I agree with the others that the Corn Dogs at the wagon on Main Street are really good too. We tried them for the first time last summer. I wondered why the line was so ridiculously long (waited longer for a corn dog than a for a lot of the rides)...now I know! Oh- and the potato soup at Carnation Cafe is also one of my favorites. We also like to stop in for beignets at the Jazz Kitchen express at DTD on the way to the parks at least one morning of our trip.

....Tigger Tails at Pooh Corner
Baked potato soup and deep fried pickles at Carnation CAfe
Dole Whips at the Tiki room
Pommes frites and gumbo at cafe Orleans
Corn dogs at the corn dog castle ( they do cheese sticks too..DD does not like hot dogs)

Legal Disclaimer - I have never been to DLR! But this is my list of must tries based on reading others experiences

1) Corn Dog
2) Dole Whip
3) Monte Cristo Bites (not willing to commit to the whole sandwich, so I'm sooo glad they're doing these bites for the holidays)
4) Pommes Frites
5) Baked Potato Soup
6) Fried Pickles
7) Something in a bread bowl
8) Topped Baked Potato
9) PGG Skewer
10) WWS Nachos

Yeah, all this, and I would add the fried chicken from the Plaza Inn. Also the cinnamon rolls from the place across from the Haunted Mansion.

Good catch! That's actually on my list, too, but it slipped my mind!....and ten just seemed like a nice number to stop on :rotfl:

During the holidays I must have peppermint ice cream from Gibson Girl as well as peppermint fudge!!! I am a peppermint freak and they are both delicious!!!!

Monte Cristo bites?? I haven't heard of those, where are they going to be? Can someone link to anything official?

I also love the pumpkin fudge and the ginger bread cookies are really good too. :)

Hi! What are the Monte Cristo bites? Thx!

Bite-size versions (like donut holes) of the Monte Cristo sandwich, which is a deep-fried ham & cheese sandwich that's served at the Blue Bayou and the Cafe Orleans. I think you get six or seven balls of Monte Cristo goodness per order of Monte Cristo Bites. I'm definitely planning on getting these. I've never tried the MC sandwich, but it sounds way too rich for one person to eat the whole thing (and DS13 will never eat it, so he's no help).
