Must eats / Must do's

I have been 5 times, I believe.

I havent found any must eats at SeaWorld. I havent been a fan of the food there

Must dos:
Depending on which animal(s) your family is interested in, the tours are neat. We did the shark encounter at seaworld. We touched a tiny shark and got to see behind the scenes of the underwater tunnel.

We have wanted to do the penguin encounter but it is booked quickly.

I cant speak for all encounters though.

the seal lion show is pretty good. It usually has the most issues as far as animal cooperation so it can get pretty funny. The shows in general are usually good and worth seeing. You will need to get to the Orca show early as that show fills up quickly. plan your day around the shows and when to be in certain portions of the park.

My wife loves penguins so going to the penguin exhibit is always a must for us. Its really, really cold in there. So if you love penguins, bring a long sleeve tshirt in your bag to give yourself a couple minutes more of tolerance.

While im not huge fan of paying to feed animals, having a sting ray come by and suck food from between your fingers is a different experience. Seeing the sea lions is cool but watching other people feed them is fine. They get really noisy (in case you have a noise sensitive person).

as far as rides, any of the coasters are easy choices. My wife and oldest son love Mako, especially.

Take a look at the sticky thread that shows most of the menus. I agree with the above comment, not sure there is any "must do" food there. The BBQ used to be really good but now I am not sure it is worth the cost, although if you are on the All Day Dine it would probably be worth trying. There are a number of places that have new-ish menus so I have not tried all of them.

If there are any events going on the day you are there, sometimes the event food booths will have some good choices, and they are small enough that you can try multiple items or get more of a favorite you find.

If this is your first time there I would recommend NOT going to Sharks Underwater Grill. Yes, the atmosphere is neat but is is a sit down place that serves a fairly good portion size and is expensive. That means you may eat up more of your day just in there and there is a good chance that afterwards you will be full enough to not want to do rides. IMO Sharks is a place to do when you have visited the park multiple times (more than 1 or two) or you just are not interested in seeing much of the rest of the park.

Sharks is a Must for us when we have first timers with us.
I can't count how many times we've eaten there, at least 50.
Prices are almost identical to Coral Reef in Epcot.
Pre fixe going on for Magical Dining now is $40.

We always have an early dinner at Sharks Underwater Grill as I have family members with food allergies. We found out last trip you have to go there right when the park opens to reserve they no longer have online reservations. We usually go to SW during holiday season and they have amazing shows and other things.

We went in 2006 and had the best turkey leg ever! Then went again last year and didn’t like them at all. Nothing stood out that I can remember.

The dolphin and Orca shows. There are usually only 1 or 2 a day, so make sure to note those times and work the rest of your schedule around that. If they are still doing it, they used to have a great deal that if you buy a refillable cup, all refills including slushies were $1 and it never expired. We used the same cup for years.
