Hi,

I'm looking for the "must eat" choices at these 3 places. They are all either buffet or family style so I'd like to try the "best of the best" as long as it will fit in my tummy! =) All PS's are for dinner.

TIA,
Rhonda

I've been to all three, although Chef Mickey's was for breakfast.
Boma - didn't like the food at all, although many people rave about it. Everything had some kind of sweet taste or sauce to it and I don't eat sweet dinner foods (only desserts).
Ohana - good, but our service was poor. Our "cousin" didn't bring us any food during the Wishes fireworks, even though we had requested more beef and shrimp. By the time the fireworks were over, we didn't really want any more food.

I haven' t been to chef mickey's.....yet
but.....I enjoyed Boma for both dinner and breakfast...but prefer it for breakfast.
Ohana's is... yummmmm!!!...only been there for dinner but loved it.

My favorite thing at 'Ohana was the chicken wings and the peanut dipping sauce. The shrimp were pretty darn good, too:p

We have never eaten at any of those three...but we have PS's for all of them on our upcoming trip!! (Chef Mickey's PS is for breakfast)

We really loved Ohanas. I would love to fit it in twice on own next trip. Our "cousin" was wonderful. Who knew my family could eat soo much:rolleyes: He just kept giving us refills of anything we asked for. Funny thing is that you dont realize how much you actually eat when they just keep giving you more and more. But it was sooooooo gooood. ::yes::

I highly recommend it!:Pinkbounc

Boma's: I like the boboti; nut crusted salmon; all the soups (every single soup there is to die for-I'm not kidding); hummus (all 3 types are great, but I like the olive); I also like the pap w/tomato sauce and of cource the desert. They uses to make lentil balls with yogurt which were great, but I don't thik hey do that anymore. They had some really good chicken once when I was there.

I tend to graze having a little of everything (and I mean a little-like a spoonful) and then I go back for favorites. I love this place.

Chef Mickey: I thought the food was mediocre. The only thing I really enjoyed were the mashed potatoes (they were fabulous) and the sundae bar.

I second the opinion that all the soups at Boma are wonderful. I had to force myself to stop trying the soups to sample everything else.

Another vote for the soups at Boma. DD had to be pulled away from the selections. I could have made a meal on the soups alone. Make sure you try the shrimp at 'Ohana. Enjoy!!

We have been to all 3 for dinner with our 3 ds. I guess it also depends on your familys tastes and the atmosphere you want etc.

Bomas - just cannot be duplicated. The foods are unique and special. While I am not the adventurous diner I did try several things. DH raved about the place but said once was enough to try it. He is adventurous like eating reindeer in norway, I didnt (not at disney, the real norway)

Ohanas - food was good and the entertainment was enjoyed by our ds. I actually like the appetizers better than some of the skewered meats they bring you. Middle ds loves the shrimp.

Chef Mickeys - this is our familys favorite. Its fun but crazy busy. The ds enjoy making their own desserts etc. Seeing the characters. The food is acceptable. Little ds liked the mickey shaped ravioli pasta. The servers are very attentive here. Always a clean plate, full drink etc.

We leave in 4 days and have a ps for chef mickey one night. I could only get 8 pm and that was after several calls. Boma is more peaceful and adult. If you arrive early you could check out the fascinating gift shop, lobby and public animal viewing areas.
They are all great choices.
