Even though I just returned from Disney a few days ago, we already reserved for August 2017. This time my DH is going, along with my parents. This is going DH's first time ever. Yeah I know that we have a long while until we can make dining reservations but I'm a planner.

With that being said, what do you think are a must do restaurant for someone who has never been before? He eats pretty much everything. I do know that we will eat probably at Nine Dragons on a Friday while we are there since it's his birthday.

Thanks!

Ohana for dinner
Be Our Guest lunch
Ghirardelli in disney springs for dessert !!
Tutto Italia in epcot
For snacks Dole whip and the cheese burger egg rolls in Adventure Land

Sanaa - Animal Kingdom Lodge
Kona (for breakfast) - Polynesian Resort
Raglan Road - Disney Springs
Brown Derby - Hollywood Studios
The Wave - Contemporary Resort
Spice Road Table - Epcot

For drinks:
La Cava de Tequila - Epcot
Trader Sam's - Polynesian Resort

What kind of guy is your husband? Easy going or uptight? Goofy or serious? My suggestions would change based on his personality.

Two responses so far...and they are completely different.

Honestly you are probably going to get responses with CRAZY variations here as people's tastes differ so much...

If I could name just one though I'd say Ohana for dinner - reservation about an hour before fireworks and put in a request to wait for a window table. We did that last year and it was pretty awesome.

I'd look over menus. We have enjoyed Yachtsman Steakhouse, Teppan Edo, and The Brown Derby. We have heard Le Cellier and Ohana are very good but have never tried them. We also have enjoyed San Angel Inn, Via Napoli, BOG, Liberty Tree Tavern, and 50's Prime Time Café. For our next trip we will be staying at AKL and plan to eat at Boma and Sanaa.

We are staying at POR for this trip. He's a goofy guy but with a serious side since he's a Marine. Like I said, he eats pretty much everything and anything except pork chops.

It's on my personal list to do BOG dinner. My mom and I just did that last week and we absolutely loved it.

What is making this extremely difficult is that my husband isn't real thrilled about going to Disney. He never vacation muched growing up so he says because of that, he has no desire to spend money to go somewhere. He won't be too involved in planning.

Thank you for the options already! I completely forgot about Ohana. I need to re-look over menus. Even though this will be my 18th trip, I feel lost since I'm bringing a 1st timer.

We love California Grill or Narcoossee's, with a reservation just before fireworks that can be viewed from your table.

Biergarten if he's a big beer drinker (they have giant ones).

Sci-fi in Hollywood Studios
The quick service restaurant I believe it's call the Contemporary cafe just to see the monorail whizzing by frequently
Ohana's at Polynesiian then go to the beach and watch the water parade and perhaps wishes

What type of personality does he have really depends if he would like a character meal...like at Crystal Palace. Your husband will have a GREAT time!

Oooh - I'll second the Contempo Cafe! Sometimes we like to take a MK break for a late lunch when the park is at it's busiest, ride the monorail over to Contemporary and grab a table, eat and watch monorails go by! The food at that QS is pretty good too! Then we walk back to MK.

I second the Sci-Fi Diner in Hollywood Studios. It's like you're in a drive in theater with cheesy old movies and you're sitting in a car. So cute. That was our favorite themed.
If you want somewhere cool and quiet, Coral Reef in Epcot is both and it's so relaxing getting to watch the fish swim by!
The Brown Derby in Hollywood Studios is fabulous! Their food was just amazing.

I don't think there is much in the way of "must do" meals. BOG is special, just to check out the decor. I think everyone should do a character meal (any meal) at least once.

Don't feel bad about starting to plan. We go every Christmas and often find ourselves talking about our next trip during our current trip!

A bunch of people are gonna give different responses as certain things strike up nostalgia for certain people. I'd say being that it's your husband's first trip, you wanna do a lot of classic Disney.

Magic Kingdom
- Be Our Guest, while new, is one of the best themed restaurants on property. You often forget you're still in Walt Disney World! I'd go just for the decor. The food is decent, but it's definitely not the main draw.

Disney Springs
- Again, it's new, but I'd go to DS and just eat here and there. Maybe go for drinks at Boathouse and dessert at Sprinkles.

Resorts
- Ohana is a must. It's one of the most popular restaurants at Disney and while it's not old school Disney, it does encompass that theme immersion Disney is so famous for.
- Beaches and Cream - book an ADR after Illuminations for ice cream
- Boardwalk Bakery - if DH has a sweet tooth, then he's gonna LOVE it.

EPCOT
- I'd skip Nine Dragons and do Teppan Edo instead. I think the food quality is better. Just my opinion.
- Have a day where you just go and eat around the world.

DHS
- We really love 50's Prime Time. Fun theme and good food. At the very least, head to Tune-In Lounge and grab a PB&J shake to go.
