So we're going late Sept with my 3YO DD and 16-month-old DS. I have lunch reserved at CRT and hoping to make a reservation at Crystal Palace as well. We'll probably do dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh, but that still leaves us another three or four TS meals, plus all the CS meals we'll have. We'll probably do breakfast in our Villa most (if not all days) so I am mostly interested in lunch and dinner recommendations. What are your and your LO's favorites? Thanks.

Last year, we took our dd 5 and dd 2 and ate at the following character meals: Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner), Crystal Palace (lunch), Akershus (dinner), Chef Mickey (breakfast).

We loved Crystal Palace...fun atmosphere, good food...it's on our list to do again this year. T

he girls liked Chef Mickey beacuse it was loud and a lot of fun, but the food was just normal breakfast food...nothing spectacular.

If your dd is into princesses, I recommend Akershus. The princess interaction was great, however, we did not like the food. We will be doing this again this year but doing it for breakfast.

Crystal Palace is a good choice. With little kids, I always think the buffets, which spend the least time waiting for your food and have easy access to the characters, are the best. Play 'n Dine @ Hollywood and Vine has playhouse Disney characters JoJo and Goliath and Leo and June from Little Einstein's, which my DD liked a lot when she was three (Note that there are no characters there for dinner), and we are going back to again this year. Another good choice is one of the Mickey-centric buffets if your older DD is into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...Chef Mickey's, Garden Grille, Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner only), or Donald's Breakfastsaurus (is it still called that?) at AK all work.

As far as non-character meals - Coral Reef @ Epcot has the giant fish tank, which may fascinate your child. The buffet at Beirgarten in Germany @ Epcot was surprisingly good and they have an oom-pah band as well.

Note if you go to Cinderella's Royal Table...Dinner does not have princesses other than Cinderella in the lobby, only the fairy godmother and giant mice at the dinner...I recommend breakfast or lunch...for that kind of money, I should get princesses..dangit!

If you kids like the Playhouse Disney Characters, go to Hollywood and Vine in DHS. We met Jo Jo and Goliath and June and Leo from Little Einsteins. It's a buffet and they had "not your typical buffett] food" and some great desserts. We also went to Chef Mickey's and loved that! Have fun!

Thanks everyone. Crystal Palance and Hollywood and Vine are definitely on the list, I need to call and try to get ADRs this week. Other than that, Chef Mickey's is high on the list too. Any other suggestions?

Chef Mickey's! Chef Mickey's! Chef Mickey's!

Also, our kids (ages 3 and 2) love Teppen Edo (formerly Teppenyaki). They LOVE watching the chef cook in front of him and all the times that we've gone of chef has always been very interactive with the kids.

We have twin girls and Chef Mickeys is the highest on their list. Next is Crystal Palace. They did love eating in the Castle too. We are trying Norway princess meal in a couple months. However, every single trip, Chef Mickeys is a must.

FYI: there is a character princess meal at GF ~ 1900 Park Fare. We have not eaten there, but friends have and they love the food and character interaction.

No one has mentioned Ohana's for breakfast. My DS1 loved meeting Stitch and Mickey. He didn't recognize Lilo and missed Pluto because we had to leave to see the rope drop at MK. Stitch was at our table for a good five minutes. DS loved it so much. Stitch even made a big deal about our stitch shirts I made. The food was great. I wish I had a glass of that juice right now. It was passionfruit, guava, and orange juice. Yummy!! Have fun!

We love Chef Mickey's & Crystal Palace. We've only eaten at these places for breakfast and I know you're not interested in breakfast, but both of these places have gotten pretty decent reviews for dinner (from what I have seen on the DIS). We always eat at LTT for dinner: good food-nothing fancy (turkey, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, etc.), with Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Chip & Dale in colonial attire. We also liked Coral Reef for dinner: great food & nice atmosphere with the aquarium.

My boys (3 and 22 months) absolutely loved LeCellier and Coral Reef. They loved the cramy soups that came with the meals, they loved getting their own steak, they loved watching the fish. Liberty Tree Tavern and Coral Reef were also TS faves.

Most of our CS meals ended up being at the resort, but they did love eating CS in Mexico.
