Must Do Holiday Happenings...??

Hi everyone! We are going to be at Disney the first week of December..what are some "Must Do's" that are special for the holiday season? Any advice??

Last December was our first trip to WDW and my must see for this December is the Christmas light display at Disney MGM. It was just unbelievable. I think you will truly enjoy it.

I agree -- the Osborne Lights at MGM are amazing and overwhelming. We also love to go around to the various resorts and look at the decorations, which are customized for every resort. There are really special displays made out of chocolate and gingerbread at all the deluxe resorts: a giant gingerbread house at Grand Floridian, a chocolate African village at Animal Kingdom Lodge, a chocolate amusement park at Boardwalk, etc. If you combine it with a meal at a resort, or even just looking at the animals wandering around AKL, it's nice, relaxing time.

There is so much going on at christmas that it is hard to tell what is important.
Christmas time is special all over WDW. If possible visit the christmas party on one of the evenings in the MK. If you have children, the storytellers in Epcot are fun. The tree lighting at 18.oo in Epcot and the Candlelight Processional are something not to be missed. If you need more detailed info, there are some threads concerning the party at the discussion forum Theme Parks and attractions from "Sticky"and anothers with info about the Candlelight Processional, but I don't remember where I found it.
I will be there about the same time you will be there and hope to take in a lot of the christmas feeling. I have not seen the Osborne Lights, jet for they were not up when I was there last, two years ago. Looking forward to it but read very different opinions on those. I'll see!

Some must do christmas events for me are
-mickey's very merry christmas party
-seeing the decorations and trees (big hude christmas trees) in each park
- feeling a bit chilly in Disney
-osbourne lights!
- Parades...
- The atmosphere

But my number one is everything at mvmcp! Snow on Mainstreet...hot chocolate and cookies seeing santa!

you should also go the the poly they have a gingerbread house

and the GRAND FLORIDIAN! Thats a not to be missed! You can see a life size gingerbread house...
