Must do at Christmas in Disneyland

My kids and myself have never been to Disneyland at Christmas, and we are taking my daughters boyfriend who has never been to Disneyland. I'm trying to make sure we do eveything a first timer should do as well as all of the holiday fun. Any advice is welcome. If this is in the wrong area I apologize, I'm new here

The holidays are a wonderful time to visit DLR. When are you going? (There is some difference, mostly in terms of crowds, but also in terms of what may or may not be happening.) Assuming your going sometime in December, when the majority of the holiday offerings are available...

• Attractions with Holiday Overlays: Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World, and Jungle Cruise all have holiday overlays. They're fun ways to experience the attraction.
• Food: There are usually specially themed treats scattered throughout the parks.
• Gingerbread House: Last year, the GCH had a large gingerbread house in their lobby. Hopefully they'll do another one this year. There are also smaller gingerbread houses in Whitewater Snacks and Storytellers (GCH) and a fake gingerbread house in DLH.
• Decorations: Both parks have a lot of holiday decorations. While some will probably be absent this year (due to the 60th decor), there will still be plenty (if HalloweenTime is any indication).
• Entertainment: The live entertainment also usually has a holiday flare to it. There won't be any Holiday fireworks this year (Disneyland Forever will continue to be presented), but the Christmas Parade and WoC: Winter Dreams (in some form) should be presented.

Just a note, but this link goes to a webpage referring to the Epcot Candlelight Processional. There are no dining packages for the Disneyland Candlelight Processional and the narrators for 2015 have not been announced.
