Our first family trip at BC (My DH, myself, and our DS 18 mo)

I've been making a pretty extensive list of what we need but I'm wondering if I am forgetting something that I just wouldnt think of....anybody willing to share their must have items with me?

I don't have a master list but here are a few items that I MUST have when I travel .
-children's tylenol or advil.
-Any children's medicine you think you might need.
- A few plastic bags to bag up wet swimsuits before flying or driving home.
-zip lock bags for cameras, billfolds, and cell phones on water rides or rainy days.
-Cell phone charger
-Camera battery charger
-SPF 8,15,30 and 50 sunscreen.
-Excedrin
-sudafed
-Cheap ponchos from either Target or WalMart. (Also works for covering stroller in the rain.)

Since you are traveling w/ a small child always pack their change of clothing that you are taking into the park with you for emergencies in a giant zip-lock bag. That way the soiled clothes do not touch your other items in your bag. Make sure you take some disposable sippy cups that you won't be afraid to lose. Make sure you take enough diapers and wipes for the first 48 hrs if you are flying or if you are driving just pack them all in the car. If you are driving be sure to pack your child's favorite juice and snacks for the trip!

The one must have for me is one of those large shoe holders that hang
on the back of a door. I hung it on the bathroom door and put just
about all of my everyday needs (tioletries brushes meds ) that way
their was nothing around the sink. :) :) :)

I pack really lightly, but one extra I included were wire hangers from the dry cleaners. They came in very handy and I left them in the room when we left.

METAMUCIL.......:rotfl2:

Don't laugh......nothing like air travel, sleeping in a strange bed, waking up and going to bed at ungodly hours and eating restaurant food for a week to back things up !

Chargers, for the camera, cell phones, and ipods. I just picked up an ipod charger that doesn't need a computer for 14.00. Gotta have music for my workouts!

Multi-outlet power strip......Much easier to plug all those electronics into one place to charge, instead of having them scattered around the room and/or having to crawl on the floor to find the stinking outlets....

Extra batteries for camera, gum, extra socks, journal, ressie info on 3x5 cards for any dinner ressies you have, your resort info and confirmation #, extra shoes-sneakers-crocs, bic clic markers for autograph's, hand sanitizer, shout wipes, if you are planning on doing a load of laundry, quarters for machines, fabric sheets for dryer and laundry soap, I bought the small 3 oz plastic containers for my soap, blister block, that's all I can think of right now...

That's such a great idea! Going to straight to my packing list! Thanks!

We bring a small fan, I can't stand sleeping in a still room. It also gives us a little white noise, helps drown out the neighbors.

Take along Tylenol or Motrin or whatever you use for your kids as well as yourself. When we went a few years ago, DS who was 9 at the time, came down with a high fever out of nowhere. Probably from exhaustion! Anyway, the Tylenol we had to buy in the resort was not cheap! We will make sure to bring our own next time!

One thing I have found useful is a collapsable clothes hamper. You can pick these up at any Dollar Store. Keeps all your dirties in one place. Sometimes I do laundry during vacation. If so, I just pick up my hamper and off I go. The one I found has handles on the side. Easy to transport.
