Thinking back over the Epcot Pin Event and the Great Pin Adventure, I have a lot of memories and made some interesting observations. Ok, I made some very whacked observations that probably make no sense to anyone but me but I am going to share them nonetheless.
Mad Strawberry is just as wonderful in person as she is on the board. Although I do have to wonder since the last day of the event she chased me down and told me I had to trade with her. I gave her the Mickey Pin Trading pin to go with the Minnie she had. In exchange she gave me the bird. I am not sure that was exactly what I was expecting from such a lovely lady. Now, whenever someone gives me the bird I will think of Barbara.
JudithM continues to be the mysterious closet Hallmark employee. For months I attempted to collect information about her such as where she was from and what her husband's name is. At each point she refused to answer. Based upon the information I now have, Judith's husband is either wanted by the authorities in the state of Maryland or he was Boxcar Willie famous hobo and recording artist. Either way, it was a pleasure meeting Beauford.
Nat's generosity and personality are larger in person than on the boards. Perhaps that is a result of all the cheese soup but my guess is that he is just genuinely a great guy even though he insists on rooting for a baseball team that has been cursed for nearly a hundred years. I do regret not getting to trade with Nat. I just wanted to page through his pin book and check out all the cool stuff.
Vince and Suzi have the cutest baby. I had never seen pictures of the child but I ran into them and their kid (literally) on several occasions. Although the child doesn't talk much, it is clear that he is in a loving family. I wouldn't mind changing that kid's diapers I can tell you that! Congratulations on your anniversary. I am honored that you both chose to spend it with us. Now about that Beaches and Cream Ice Cream, how come I wasn't invited. I even had a drop cloth so that I could sit in Nat's splash zone.
Zayne & Xavier's Dad, what can I say. Dude you scare me. No really, we were both so busy (me being normal and you being psycho) that we didn't get a chance to talk much. I had so much to ask you starting with those two tattoos. What a great idea! I would never have thought of doing that. I always get confused which arm to use to smack which kid. To label them is the perfect solution! No wait, are those kind of like a will? You have bequeathed each of your children an arm? Geez, I would never have thought of that. I used to have a chicken's foot where you could make it's claw move. That was pretty cool.
JamesD & Linda. I spent more time with you that week in Walt Disney World than I did with Trina. It was pretty awesome that you two made every Where in the World meet. Thanks for the trade for the CM character balloons, they are awesome! I can't believe that James worked on the Space Shuttle tiles and I worked on software to check the tiles. Congratulations on that Millionaire thing. Because of your knowledge and prowess, they changed the rules of the game to only allow someone to play once every 30 days. You are indeed the king of the trivia geeks.
Eeyore's Pal & Malcolm, I gotta say Malcolm is a shrewd pin trader, he picked the most valuable pin in my collection to trade for. In exchange for his pitching Tigger, I had to give up my Arizona Diamondbacks logo pin. I am honored to welcome you to the Diamondbacks family. I have to admit though, with a name like Robyn, I fully expected to see Eeyore's Pal in a red shirt with green tights. Of course I kept waiting all week for Malcolm to shake my hand and say, "I'm Batman!"
I have many more memories, but how about the rest of you? Let's hear about your observations.
