Did anyone pick specific processional and recessional music? If so, what did you pick?

I'm thinking of "A Dream is a Wish your Heart Makes" for the processional and
"When You Wish Upon a Star" for the Recessional

We specifically picked "Someday My Prince Will Come" for DH's entrance.

We were going to just go with the "normal" wedding music for the rest but got lucky that didn't happen. This is what we ended up with:

Bridesmaids: A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes
Bride: When You Wish Upon A Star (I didn't realize this until I watched the video - I cried!!!)
Recessional: Zippidi Doo Dah (so CUTE!!)

Our First dance was : One Upon A Dream (we picked this, too)

We LOVED the music!!!

If anyone has the Jim Brickman Disney CD, listen to Track #4, which is Beautiful by Wayne Brady. I absolutely love that song!!!! We may use it at our "reception"

Here's what I'm thinking about going with, ceremony music played by a Guitar & Flute duo, reception music - using a DJ:

A - Seating/Prelude
Bella Notte
Once upon a dream
WhenYou Wish Upon a Star
(Disney Love Medly)

C - Mothers Seating
Circle of life

D - Officiant and Men
Superman love theme (can you read my mind) – John Williams

E - Bridesmaids
Some day my prince will come

F - Bride
Main street electrical parade
(click here for a good idea of what it might sound like instrumentally:

G - Unity Candle/
Two worlds one family (tarzan)

H - Recessional/Exit Music
Fantasmic – Finale music

Guest Exit:
Zip-a-dee-do-dah,
Medly? Zip-a-dee-do-dah, you’ve got a friend in me, mickey mouse club?

RECEPTION:

Entrance (Me and Jim): Star Wars Throne Room Music
First Dance: A Whole New World
Father Daughter Dance: You’ll be in my Heart?
Mother Son Dance: “Proud of your Boy” from Aladdin - sung by Clay Aiken
Music in background for dinner: A bunch of different disney music
Cake Cutting music: Head over Feet by Alanis Morissette - unplugged version
Dance music:
Last song: “First Date” by Blink 182

I think it sounds wonderful!! We picked all of our music...
Guests entering were all songs that I had danced to (I'm a ballerina) ending with When you wish upon a star
Parents came into Can you feel the love tonight
Groom walked to Here Come the Irish (can you guess where he went to school?)
Girls walked to A dream is a wish
little kids walked to Kiss the Girl
I walked to So this is Love
and we recessed to A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow

We loved it!!!

Codie - I love your recessional song!

DH was very anit using Disney music for most of the ceremony, so we went (mostly) traditional

Seating of guests - Disney love songs melody (DH gave in on that one)
Seating of the mothers - Jesu, Joy of man's desiring
Officiant, DH and Groomsmen - Some song from the movie Braveheart - our EM actually recommended it, it sounded great on the organ.
Bridesmaids - Canon in D
Bride - Trumpet Voluntary
Recessional - Recessional from Midsummer Night's Dream

For our recessional I think we are using the song from Fantasmic in instrumental and I am walking in to "Promise" in an instrumental version

Here is what we used:

Groom - 'Someday My Prince Will Come'
Bridal Party - 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' (my son picked this)
Bride - 'A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes'
Recessional - I thought this should be something upbeat so we chose 'Under the Sea'

First Dance - only non-Disney song - 'Beautiful' by Sarah Brightman
Groom/Mother Dance - 'Circle of Life'
My boys and I danced to - 'You'll be in my Heart'

All the music sounded great!

We're going non-Disney-

For the groom, groomsmen, officiant, and bridesmaids- "Hornpipes" from Handel's "Water Music:

Bride- chiming of the hour (6) and "Trumput Voluntary" by Clarke

Recessional- "Wedding March from a Midsummer's Night Dream" by Mendelssohn

We were lucky enough to catch up with Bill, the organist, yesterday! If you can get him, do so! I mentioned I hate organs and the way they sound. He insisted we go listen to him play- he told me he would blow my skirt up. He did. He blew it off even. We even changed things around after hearing him play certain pieces. He's EXCELLENT!!

ha! my husband was against using disney music also. Fortunatly we were able to compromise on that- it could be disney as long as he didn't recognize it :goodvibes . I had my heart set on Candle on the Water for my processional and so wanted to keep all of the music Disney. Here's what we ended up with:

Prelude: One Song from Snow White
Processional: Candle on the Water
Recessional: Once Upon a Dream
Cake Cutting: Belle Notte (we argued about that one but i thought it would be cute...)
First Dance: So this is Love

Our music was one of the few Disney elements of our "disney" wedding, but the funny thing is that as much thought as we put into it, i remember almost none of it...my mind was somewhere else i guess... :cloud9:

we had a little cinderella medley for the guests to get settled: a dream is a wish your heart makes and so this is love. for the processional and my entrance, we had pachebel's "canon" play. for our recessional, we had "when you wish upon a star." they are great songs and they really worked well for our wedding. good luck with your choices.

Mommy Poppins; we were just listening to that song the other day, trying to see if we wanted it for our reception!

Jess:)

My DH was very much FOR using all Disney music! We were at Disney, after all! :rotfl:

Here's what we picked:

Groom processional: Can you feel the love tonight
Bride processional: Once upon a dream
Recessional: Zip a Dee Doo Dah!

Then we just wanted a mix of specific Disney songs to be played during our cake cutting...

To be honest, I remember about 3 seconds worth of the music! Our violinist was WONDERFUL!!! But since it was just the two of us, everything went VERY fast and I was "forced" to concentrate on "other" things when I really just wanted to hear her play more! And before I knew it, it was all over!! ;)

I just absolutely love that song!!!

we picked specific music for our ceremony, non disney though, were playing songs like air on the g string, rupert bear, the piano, summerplace theme, some enchanted evening, etc. we are playing disney music for the prereception though songs like so this is love, circle of life, etc. and at the reception were playing be our guest & under the sea during the receiving line.

i really want to include the song "promise" in the wedding somewhere - just not sure where yet!
