Music trip ticket, son already has AP

My son is going on a trip with his HS band, they have purchased each participant a 3 day non hopping pass.

He already has a current AP so is it possible for him to not use the pass and either get a refund or save it for use in the future?

He can save the 3-day ticket for a future trip, or, anyone in your family can use it towards an AP renewal.

It might depend on how the trip was booked. If it's a "convention" ticket, I don't think it can be saved for later.

When he does receive it, have him check it for any type of expiration or restrictions. If he isn't there for a competition or convention, it can be used in the future. If it's for just a fun trip at group pricing, it should be okay.

If they got tickets from youth education series, they have to be used by a certain date on ticket.

Does the 1-day Ticket have an Expiration? Is it only valid for the duration of the performance trip?

I assume that it has to be used the day of the performance if it is a performance based trip. If they're just going for a trip for fun, I wouldn't think they would need a special ticket. I'd have your contact email the event planner and let them give you an answer based upon the plans. If they're marching in the parade, I can promise you, it will be something that they will remember forever!

We do a trip with our high school band. The tickets are not upgradable or refundable. They also must be used within approximately 10 days of the start of the trip. You might be able to sell it to someone else who is going on the trip, like another parent or something. We will be there in 3 weeks, I can't wait!

All three of my children went with their bands.
The first two trips were much easier. We were able to deduct the cost of their ticket from the package and use their AP.
My son was the last to go last year. Our band instructor said Disney/tour company changed the rules. They had to have a ticket for each student going. They were not attached to names though, just a certain number. We were able to work with the director and figured out we had many parents going and they were able to incorporate it in to a tag along package for one of them.

Very smart.
New unused tickets can be used by anyone, so (basically) "selling" unneeded (but required) tickets to other members of
the group is a great way to compensate for participants that don't otherwise need the required-purchase ticket.
