Music singing competition in Universal Studios

my niece has a singing competition in Universal studios and I want to go but don't want to inside the park. Just go to the singing part which is in the studio that has a parking lot next to it. Does anyone know if I can do this?

You'll probably want to check with your niece if she has an allotted number of "guests" she can bring for free or something.

I doubt Universal on their own would allow you in just to watch the competition for free if it's happening inside the actual park.
