A few months back, there was a thread regarding the music on board the ships, specifically in the hallways. It used to be Disney music and then they stopped playing it. We all sent emails to Disney regarding this and got the same "form" reply. Anyone who has been on the ships recently....are they playing Disney Music in the hallways again?

We had read about this as well, and when we were on the Magic in September, we paid close attention to this. We heard all Disney music, though more than just tunes from animated classics, also heard them from musicals, like the Happiest Millionaire and Newsies. So the music seemed to be back. :rockband:

We noticed Disney music in December as well. They played songs from Hurcules & had Christmas carols by characters too. :)

I'm not sure I noticed the hallway music on my first DCL cruise, but on my second I definitely noticed that at one point I was walking to the tune of "bippity boppity boo". Go ahead, try not to be happy when you hear that. What other cruise line has its own proprietary music like Disney? No one. That's part of the MAGIC and WONDER of it all.

I have no idea what "newsies" is. I suspect there is an entire generation of Disney productions of which I know nothing. Wouldn't recognize a song from pete's dragon if it blew fire in my face. But I'm sure I would find it cheerful and happy and this is my vacation if I am on board.
