Hi everyone. This is for all of you musical inclined people. See if you understand this and if not let me know and I will explian it better.

I need to create all sharp major scales in the
bass cleff. I am having lots of trouble on this. I don't know much about the bass cleff. For example on this one bass cleff their is 4 sharp signs. What notes do I put on this? Please help me.

well, i was a music major in college for all of 3 years and i'm pretty familiar with reading music, etc...but i guess i don't understand your question! otherwise i would love to help!!

I think even in bass clef (but don't quote me because I only read treble) that the order of sharps and flats is the same.

Sharps: F C G D A E B
Flats: B E A D G C F

If you have 4 sharps then the F C G and D would be sharp with the A E and B's being natural.

Major scales are done with the following steps if I remember correctly. Full Full Half Full Full Full Half.

you know what...don't pay any attention to what i just typed!!! i just realized it was wrong...

ok..i've got it figured out now...i don't know what the heck was wrong with me!!

my original theory was right...i just had the notes all goofed up! (i'm not a bass clef reader either...i'm an alto clef gal!)

anyway...the note you need to know where it's at is F...do you know where that is? that will help you in figuring out what notes go where on the scale...

to determine your key...look at the last sharp. what note does that sharp represent (i.e. A#, C#, etc)? once you've determined that, then take that note and go a half step higher. that is your key...and that will tell you where to start your scale on the staff!
