Talking about music was fun the last time we did it, so let's see how far we can go. You can talk about anything to do with music. MP3 players, what you are talking about now, what you feel about whatever song etc.

At the moment I am listening to "Never Be Lonely" by the Feeling. It is so good! In fact I struggle not to sing along!! :rotfl:

Lately I've become reacquainted with Limewire and downloading tracks like crazy! I've got a proper nostalgia kick going on - suddenly it seems that 1977 really was a great year - maybe it's down to the school reunion I'm going to next weekend... :rolleyes1 :lmao: Anyway, I've made now that's what I call a megamix - 80 or so banging tunes that are rocking on my iPod and bring to mind flappy flared jeans, cheesecloth shirts, blue eyeshadow and flicked hair! Happy days... :cloud9:

Arr, those were the days :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well it won't be long til that time of the year ~ no not Christmas, but Record of the Year. Now Westlife have released a new song, so no doubt that will be the ROTY, but what do you consider to be to 'record of 2006' ? My fave song of this year is Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars', I love it, and I could listen to it play on repeat all day ~ it's fab :thumbsup2

There are a Dozen songs that I would consider ROTY e.g. PCD's Buttonz, Shakira's Hips Don't Lie etc etc. However, based on sales solely it has to be Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. It went for 11 weeks and probably would have gone more if the record company had let them. I don't like it, but I think that they have to win it.

Since I have only just gotten into music this year, I suppose my opinion in invalid at this point.. :)

I have not a clue what music is in the charts, I just listen to what I like, could not pick a record of the year.

Have you heard Gwen stefani 's new song, it sounds just like the Black eye peas, my humps, apart from the Yodeling. :confused3

Yes, I love that too! :thumbsup2 Or my favourite might be When You Were Young by The Killers or In The Morning by Razorlight... I don't know - it's too hard to decide!

I think you could be right about that - dull song tho'... :confused3

No way - IMO you're a good person to comment because you've only just started to get into music so you've got a fresh attitude to it... :thumbsup2

I've been downloading quite alot of Disney music recently. There are only certain Disney films that I like but I really like the Disney music. It's so nice and relaxing plus it's great to put your Ipod on and be transported to Disney via the music.

On Wikipedia they have 30 seconds of "I Just Can't Wait to be King". I listened to that yesterday and it brings up so many memories of me when I was younger. :goodvibes It's by far my favorite Lion King song.

I really want to get the Little Mermaid for my sister so I can steal it off her, watch it myself and listen to under the sea! :rotfl: I am addicted to Under the Sea and I haven't seen the film yet!! The reason why is because one of my games (Kingdom Hearts 2) has a "Little Mermaid" based world, and you get to "Sing" along to some of the songs. 2 are movie based; "Part of your World" and "Under the Sea". I loved Under the Sea so much I played the level over and over! :rotfl2:

Speaking of Disney songs, has anyone ever listened to "To Be Human Again" on the Beauty and the Beast DVD? I liked that song and I was slightly ashamed they didn't put it into the original movie. It was so cool and I am glad they got the original people to do it. :)

Wideeyes ~ Haven't heard that song yet. Probably will end up hearing it one day, but not by my own accord. Not a big Gwen Stafani fan myself, although she has done a couple of good songs ("If I was a Rich Girl" was popular for a bit..).

I'll leave you with a quote from Brain from Family Guy on the matter. "I Don't know what a Hollaback Girl is, All I know is I want her dead.." :rotfl:

I totally agree it should win ROTY, but in the last 50 years (slight exaggeration) if it isn't sung by Westlife, then it won't win :rotfl2:

Are you saying that because they sung a song with your name in it? :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

So pleased to hear this, Denise, I love this song :thumbsup2 In fact, I love the whole of the new Scissor Sisters album. Took me a bit longer to get into than the first one, but now I can't stop listening to it.

I normally love Gwen, but have to say that Wind it up is a bit much even for me! It has so far put me off buying her album, but the more I hear it, the catchier it gets.

I am always in to minds about Gwen, as I much preferred Gwen sound in No Doubt than her solo stuff, she seems to be trying to hard to be quirky with her solo stuff. I like a few of her songs though, however I love the No Doubt stuff and saw them live a about 4 years ago when Hey Baby was out and they were really good.

Anyone into Take That now? I was too young to listen when they first came out so I don't know any better, but it seems to me that they really aren't that good.

I am probably going to get a rubbing for that as most of you guys must love them for the boyband factor.. :rotfl:

I liked them for a couple of years when I was 11 however I grew out of them before they spilt up so I am not really botherd about there renuion and I won't be buying the records.

Anyone thinking about getting Now 65? I like them, but unfortunately I have bought most of the music on there anyway. I may get it just for the remixes or to get Amy Whitehouse's "Rehab". She's a good singer but I saw her on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and she is really bad! She has tattoes all over her arms!!

So nice to see another Kingdom Hearts family. :thumbsup2 Your son maybe interested in this. It doesn't have the english version of the Little Mermaid songs used in KH2, but it does have the KH1 and 2 themes on there. I was very happy when I found them as I couldn't get them anywhere! :goodvibes

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is very good. I have the Blue Version which is for the DS and it is excellent! You get to BE a Pokemon in either of these games! How cool is that?! If you tell whoever likes Pokemon in your Family that I became a Torchic and my partner was a Pikachu then I am sure that they will understand! :goodvibes

Anyway, back on topic. I think I need to see Beauty and the Beast DVD again as the need to hear "To Be Human again" is coming back again!! :rotfl:
