Whenever I buy boneless chicken breasts or strips, there seems to always be a long white tough muscle like strip in every piece - I think it's muscle. It sure is a pain to have to cut this piece out of every strip!

The whole breast is muscle- that's what we eat! The white thing is connective tissue, probably a tendon. It won't hurt you to eat it.

you do realize that meat = muscle, right?

Yuck! I don't want to know about it. I just eat it.

I'll eat anything as long as you don't tell me what it is.

meat is muscle, yuuuuuuuuuuk, I must have had a chicken who was weight lifting

I have to take that piece out of the chicken breast, to me it is gross but i am sure when I go out to eat the resturant doesn't do that, YUCK, chicken isn't my favorite anyways

I hate that thing too! I thought it was some sort of vein or something tube like.

I believe what you are talking about is a tendon

Yuck, I hate that thing, and I remove it every time.
