I hired Murray Hill Transportation to get me to and from Disney World once I landed in Orlando. I could not have been happier with the service I got. My driver, Karina (from Brazil, but her English was very good), was waiting for me with a sign with my last name on it at the bottom of the escalator to baggage claim when I arrived. She was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and just a pleasure to ride with. It took the bags awhile to come out, and when they did, she insisted on helping me with my suitcase, although she was no bigger than me! She took me outside and showed me a bench where I could sit and wait while she brought the van around. That took about 5 minutes. During the ride to Disney World, she pointed out various sights in Orlando and we chatted about various things. She was a great tour guide! With the $5 off coupon I printed off the website, the round trip cost me $80, plus I tipped Karina $10 each way, so the total was $100. It was worth every penny. I was watching the Mears shuttle buses packed with people taking off from the airport and thought how miserable I would be if I had to sit on that bus for more than an hour while other people were dropped off at their hotels, or if there were screaming, crying kids on board. Instead, I had a van and driver all to myself and arrived at Port Orleans French Quarter in 20 or so minutes. Murray Hill includes a grocery stop for free, and I had asked for that, but I changed my mind once I landed. All I had planned on buying were drinks anyway, and I figured it wouldn’t kill me to pay $2 for a bottle of water here and there for the next 4 days. Also included in the price are tolls (and you pass through 2 of them on the way to Disney World). For the return trip, I went to meet my driver 10 minutes early “just in case” and lo and behold, Karina was already there waiting for me. Awesome service all around. I highly recommend them.

Do have there website.
I would like to look them up.
I am trying to find a good company to get us to and from Disney.
Never mind. I found it.. Does look like a great deal..
Anybody else say this is a Good Company????

I also used MH on our last trip. We had Tony as our driver and he was very helpful with luggage and bags @ our store stop. On our return he came early for our pick up. I was very pleased to see him waiting for us instead of us waiting for him. www.transportation2disney.com

Used Murray Hill for the first time in May 2004 ... had tried others in the past and wasn't satisfied ... great experience with Murray Hill ... using them again next week!

Have also rented cars and won't do it again as the pickup and drop off are always a hassle and not a good way to start or end a magical trip!

I booked them for our 3/5 arrival when i realized that waiting for a mears shuttle for over an hour (this was standard time according to Mears themselves) with 3 small children and then stopping at every resort between the airport and Port Orleans just was NOT an option. I was leary of what you get for the price, we would have our own van, but I contacted the Florida Transportation Commission and they highly recommended them. You really have nothing to lose, they don't ask for any money until they pick you up (they even have a $5 coupon on their website) so if they dont show, which is unheard of, you can catch a taxi or mears. Good Luck and have a Magical Day!

I use Murry Hill for my trips. They did a great job. I asked for the grocery stop, and the picture at the opening to WDW ( I heard this may have been discontinued). The water alone saved me $$ I purchased a case of water for $3.99, sure beat the $2.50 at the park. As I was staying in a 2 rooms at a moderated I had 2 refrigerators to freeze the water for the next day.

I changed the return trip time to a 1/2 hr later and the driver said we would still make it with plenty of time. It was a tuesday at 2 pm pickup changed to 2:30. I wanted to make sure we had time to get back from Chef Mickey late breakfast and give us time to relax by the pool.

I have already booked for my trip this May. Yes I was going to go with the free Magical but the thought of the big bus and all the resort stops changed my mind. I also didnt want to have to leave for the airport 3 hours early. I mean 2 hours seems fine to me.

Have a great trip no matter what you decide.

I am SO Happy to hear all the + info here.
I have never used a towncar service and I have Murray Hill Trans. resserved for my trip in March.
I can not wait to sit back and enjoy the trip to WDW. It is nice that they do the grocery stop ( I requested this ). And that they supply a carseat.
I can not wait !!!

Just back from our trip, 2/12-2/19; used Murray Hill for the second time and everything was perfect! Easy to make ressies online; no hassles. Our flight to MCO was 20 minutes early, so they weren't waiting by the escalator yet; just as we got our bags, my cell phone rang and there they were, just a few feet away from us! Grocery stop was great; they have a list of items and what aisle they are in which makes shopping easier (saved lots of money buying water, beer and snacks). Return trip was perfect also .. right on time. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Have tried two other services in the past and have rented cars ... Murray Hill is the Best!!!

Add my name to the list of happy campers :cool1: . We loved them when we were in the World last November! We were exhausted after our long flights and it was so wonderful to climb into the towncar for a smooth trip to Publix. Our driver was wonderful too. We didn't get to the Pop until about 10:30 pm and there were no trollys to be found anywhere for our luggage, but he ran in and didn't come out until he had one, bless him :goodvibes ! I've just booked them again for our September trip, and I can not wait!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc .

I used them last year when I took my sons (2 and 4) for a "Mom and the boys" trip leaving DH at home. I have no complaints either. I will mention one thing though. it didn't bother me as a Mom travelling with 2 little ones but it may bother some people if they were on a honeymoon or something. I reserved a towncar both ways. We were picked up in a towncar at the airport but on the way back we were in a van. We didn't share with anyone else or anything and it was clean, driver was waiting for us outside the Poly as planned, on time etc. No one gave any explanation for the change. Like I said, it was no problem for me. They were on time, had the car seats as requested and the van was clean so I was happy but someone on their honeymoon or similar trip may have been disappointed to have a less luxurious type of transportation. I have no complaints though...both drivers were curteous, on time, safe drivers; car seats both ways were clean and appeared in good condition; both the car and the van were spotless and had great A/C. ;)

I know I want a towncar and not a van, hopefully since we are only two people that is what we will get. It was so nice sliding into the back of it after our long trip, we were exhausted! When I confirm I'll be sure and mention that it's a towncar we booked, thanks for the headsup Lollipop Mom!

I just got my confirmation back from them regarding my booking. One thing that gets me is that on the website, they mention if you run over time on your grocery stop, your driver may miss his next pickup! I guess that would actually happen, but it's weird to see it in black and white like that! I think it was only 20 minutes for a grocery stop back in November, because we just about ran through Publix!

I think if people are told why they need to be on time maybe they will try harder. People seem to think "oh, I'm a few minutes over, no big deal. The next group of people waiting for the driver will be upset if he is late and perhaps not tip him. It will cost him money.

I use to drive a handicap van and take people to there appointments. I remember people being so inconsiderate. I would get there on time and sit in there driveway waiting for up to an hour for them. When I went to pick up the next client I would be late. Then of course they were furious. I couldn't blame them for being mad but it wasn't my fault.

I think you're right, ladydancer, I hope so anyway. I wouldn't mind my driver being late so much when we arrive because I would think we would be so happy just to finally be back at WDW, but on the trip back with the stress of an international flight it would be awful. I can't remember if our driver mentioned the time limit when we got to the store but he may have, it's all a blur now because we were so tired. But we rushed through that market and were out of there well before our time ran out. Of course it was late evening, perhaps there weren't many people shopping either. I think it's awful people kept you waiting like that, when you were picking them up at a scheduled time. Terribly inconsiderate.

We are now considering a towncar service when we land in Orlando. I never heard of Murray Hill until I saw the name on another thread and did a search to find this thread. I went to their site and it looks like they are a tad cheaper than Florida Town Car and FL Tours. Doesn anyone know how far in advance of your return flight home they pick you up at your resort?

We had a good experience with Murray Hill in Jan. '05. :)
When Magical Express is no longer free I can definitely see going back to Murray Hill!

cinmell they ask when your return flight time is and then they email you the time they will pick you up. We have used them twice and both times we had return flights at around 5 pm and were picked up around 3 pm. I know that the first trip I emailed them and asked if they would pick us up a little earlier (because we were nervous about them) and they did no problem.

I would say that next time I use them I am going to let them know I want a towncar because when they picked us up we got a van. Normally I wouldn't care much but it was a shabby van and the year before the town car was really nice, so I was a little disapointed. Otherwise they were on time and the drivers were very nice.
