Has anyone been to the murder mystery at the Grosvenor Hotel? Is it stupid?

My mother and I did the murderwatch mystery meal at the Grovesnor last February. I am glad we did it once. The food was good, all you could drink beer.. I am not much of a beer drinker, but for 2 it was fine. The "show" part was much more interesting than I thought. It was worth the money, but I won't be doing it agian.

If you don't mind me asking - why wouldn't you do it again?

Weeeelllll, the food was great, as I said. The entertaiment was good.. But.. I had thought that it would be kind of boring since it was a "play" and I have already seen the ending. But now.. you have me thinking: I wonder if they change the ending. It would make sense to change it to keep everyone guessing and not to alienate folks who have already seen it, that would not be a good business decision.

Here's some other reasons: We had to pay for valet.. There was no obvious way to self park. When we were leaving, I gave the attendant my parking tag and he said I'll be right back.. I then saw him walking to the rental car which was just parked about 30 feet away. I just said " Is that mine?" He said yes. so I said I"ll just walk. I had to tip him to get my keys. It's the little things, I know. I could have parked it my self in the same place for free if I'd have known.

Also I was not that impressed with the interior of this hotel. I know, I am spoiled, used to Disney quality, but the interior was very dated and looking worn. Also, the way that they handled the whole check- in process was not handled very professionally.
Maybe I am just too picky.

Shoppie,
I just noticed that you are also asking about the Grovensor in Genral. I wanted to let you know that they had plenty of self parking if you had a room key..just not for visitors. If I was staying there, and it was my first time seeing the murder play, I 'd reccomend that you try it. I really enjoyed the buffet, but my mom is not that adventurous and she did not like the food. they had broiled/baked fish, roasted chicken and prime rib, an awesome salad bar and loads of cheese. they also had a large selection of desserts. If you get a deal on the room, I'd spend little of what you save and do the dinner show. I'd love to hear another review also!

Melynny,

Thanks for the info - I think we will do the show since we did get a killer deal on a room.

Thanks!!!!

I just posted the same question. I got a 2 for 1 from the hotel so think I will go thanks for the info:wave2:
