My dh and ds think this is the best new ride between the Disney and Universal resorts combined!

I however rode it, although I wasn't scared, I felt like I was going to hurl during and at the end of the ride. I never did, but, I was close.

It was a fun ride, next time I'm taking dramamine!

:rolleyes2

We love that ride :thumbsup2!!! I even remember the 1st lines of it........ "Are you insane? get out of here! the curse it's real, he's after your souls!!!.............SILENCE! with your souls, I should rule for enternity :goodvibes. I'm glad you love it.

We too love, love, love the ride...We must have done this ride 20 times in the 2 days we were in Universal!

We love this ride too!! We always buy our photos because they are hilarious!! I can't wait for our dd to ride it, what is the height requirement? She is 47 inches right now and we are going in Jan. I love how you go backwards. I wondering if Everest is similar to this.

This ride is AWESOME! Even though I'm not a "bug" person, the beetle effect was really cool. ;)

Tell me a little about this ride please. Are there any drops or anything that would be scary for a roller coaster chicken? I can handle most things...but do not like rides that have drops. Thanks.

The mummy was a pretty good addition to US. Although i was somewhat underwhelmed, the ride grew on me a tiny bit after a while. I mean it was nice to have a ride try and combine a roller coaster and a dark ride like they did, but i just wasn't that impressed by the attempt. I mean the coaster portion of the ride was fun, but just way too short. You should have no problem with this part of the ride. It's slightly faster and taller than space mountain. What kind of angered me though was the backwards portion of the ride. It was just so pointless. But anyways, i was kinda disapointed by the dark section of the ride too. Eventually though, i just stopped holding them to Disney standards and started to enjoy the ride a lil more. But its a decent ride overall.

There is one little drop in the second coaster part of the ride. It is not a major drop but if you are afraid, it is good to be prepared for it.

I do not do roller coasters at all. I went on this and I wasn't really scared I was more nauseated than anything. I get motion sickness, so, next time when I ride it, I will take dramamine.

My dh and ds have done every roller coaster at Disney and at Universal/IOA as well at some local theme parks. They loved this ride! We are all huge fans of the Mummy movies so that is probably why we all loved it so much.

For me, a non roller coaster person, it went fast, it was dark, there was some turns, and some little dips, and then one big drop. I would do it again, but, you'd never catch me on the Hulk! :)

I've heard such great things about this ride, but now I have to ask, what exactly made you nauseous? I'm okay with all the rides at Disney, but won't even attempt Mission Space. I don't like spinning rides. It doesn't spin does it? I don't want to ruin my day with a sick stomach!

hmmm and exactly what made you want to hurl?? DS wants me to ride this with him since DH will still be gone in May. I'm a big ride chicken.

The Mummy doesn't spin, Mission:Space does spin.

It's sort of like a space mountain with a movie/twist to it........It's hard to explain. It is an indoor coaster. But it's not a lot of dips or spins. It's really good. :)

It doesn't spin, for me it just went fast and the little dips and turns going fast made me nauseated. I get motion sickness. For me it's more the subtleness of the move that make my stomach sick. I go on boats, but, the rocking of waves can get me a little sick! The ride is fun and I would definitely go on it again. Like I said, this time with Dramamine!

I think it would depend on the person, I easily get motion sickness and Mission Space did that to me .. started feeling pretty bad at the end of that ride, but I can't say I've felt it on Mummy even after riding it four or five times in a row.

there's a part of the ride where you're on a turntable to achieve a 180 degree 'spin', it's very slow and hard to perceive.
