:rolleyes1 Okay, I'm ready to get flamed :furious: . I'm not a big fan of coasters or coaster-like rides that go upside down. So I thought the Mummy was going to be great after all that I have read about it on these boards. I found the effects and theming boring and the coaster part too short. I went on 3 times to see if it would "grow" on me, but it was just lame. Maybe there's too much hype for these kinds of rides. I also did Expedition Everest on this trip and found it to be overated too.

Let the flames begin!

No flames. We liked both rides. You didn't. We had FOTL for Mummy, and did it at least 3 times during the 2 days we were there. DS, 13, who is not a fan of wild or upside down coasters, loved it. We waited about 20 minutes for Everest during an EMH, and liked that too. After reassuring DS many times that it did not go upside down, it seemed like it might for a few seconds. We only rode that one once as we had limited time scheduled at AK.

You're overrated.

Yikes :rotfl:

Colorado. :confused3 I dont know what you are speaking of. That ride, made me curse the first time I rode it, I never curse. and I can handle coasters. I dont know what it was. But, I cursed through most of the coaster part. I loved it. I cannot wait to try it again. In a few short weeks. So sorry you didnt like it. But, to each his or her own. :confused3

i dont think the mummy is as good as its reviews either, i still enjoy it but i put in on the level of dinosaur. no where near spiderman or rockin roller coaster or tower of terror

Most rides are overrated, except MIB, that is.

Mummy is leaps and bounds better than Dinosaur, IMHO. More in the same category as Indiana Jones in Disneyland.

I do enjoy it more than Everest though. Too much money was spent on the mountain and not enough on the actual roller coaster.

I love the Mummy, but to a certain extent know where your coming from. From the info/hype I saw about it, I actually envisioned more animatronics and "movie" aspects to it like the mummy/skeletons that come alive. I actually think the coaster, shoot up the lift, spin around, spookiness is very good, just thought it could have used a few more animatronic mummies that attack you or something, to get a little more themed/movie feel out of it. But I still think its a great ride. If you want a super coaster, go to 6-Flags or Cedar Point, Universal is more ride the movies, which is why I expected the Mummy to be a little more "movie" like I said.

I love Mummy, I just wish it was about a minute longer.

I myself am more of an extreme coaster person, I love Kingda Ka, El Toro (and any coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure) DD and the hulk, and I still think the mummy is very cool. My DW on the other hand, would only go on a coaster like the Hulk or DD if I knocked here out and carried her on :thumbsup2 . So, for her, the Mummy is the s&*t! She absolutely loves it, and we went on it, I think, 9 or 10 times during our week stay back in May. I think the Mummy is perfect for people like her. I like it a lot as well, just not as much as the Hulk or DD. Just my opinion of course.

I don't love a lot of coasters....But Mummy and RNR are the ultimate! :thumbsup2 I could stay on RNR all day...

The first time I rode the Mummy I wondered what all the hype was about? Then the second time on we got front row. What a difference! This is one rollercoaster which I absolutely, positively recommend waiting for the front.

as you leave San Francisco/Amity and enter World Showcase, there's a little snack and drink stand on your right. their pretzels are overrated.

the mummy rules.......

MIB roxs..............

i like it when people say they don't enjoy the ride as much as i do.
it's one less person in front of me in line.......... :teeth:

I could not disagree more! I love the Mummy. It's an attraction, not just a roller coaster. The theming, the effects, everything, just blows me away, but to each his own. Please don't take this as a flame! I think everyone has a right to their opinion, but I do love the Mummy.

Im a little scared to ride the mummy (not frightened scared, scared i dont puke on the guy behind me scared)...I used my ds (5) as an excuse not to ride it in July (hes too short) but were going back in a couple of months and I want to go.
ok...ripsaw falls, JP river ride, The flying unicorn (dont laugh) and even spiderman made my stomach literally hurt...not queasy, really hurt. Will the Mummy give me the same feeling?
