Mummy Effects...Different?

I haven't been on my beloved RotM in quite a while so DH and I did a little marathon yesterday. Am I going crazy, or did they add/repaint/make brighter the signs of various devious-looking beings as you are whizzing through the fast parts?

They've been fixing it up to be at the level it was in 2004, since Brendan Fraser is going to be there next Fri. And yes, he will probably ride.
