wondering how ppl planned their vacations when taking a few during the same year. Do you actually think of it as 1 vacation and break it down from there?

April - Flower & Garden - solo - Pop Fri & Sat, BCV Sun-Fri, booked 3 EpCot tours - made 8 lunch ARs (planning on having salads), Off Kilter Off Kilter and more Off Kilter

Aug - taking DS (then 15), 2nights Pop, 5nights VWL, Downtown Disney, pool hopping, not sure yet about park days (DS would rather do the pools than the parks), will plan ARs where DS wants

Nov - 50th bday!, solo, BCV, princess ARs, last wknd for F&W, MVMCP, Off Kilter Off Kilter and more Off Kilter

The more trips we take the less planning I do.

Aside from continuously checking airlines & car rentals to make sure we are getting the best rate, the only thing we plan is ADR's (we like to eat) & our spa appointments.

Granted, we don't travel over Christmas, Easter, 7/4, Pres. Week, etc but... having been a park commando for the better part of 30 years I get so much more enjoyment (& relaxation) from going with the flow.

When we did multiple trips we would focus on 1 or 2 areas & on the next trip we do the things we missed, skipped, or saved for the next trip that same year so we got to slow it down and enjoy the vacation even more. So on your 1st trip do the things or park you like 2nd best since your by yourself, 2nd trip since your son mostly wants to do the pools do your least favorite things or parks b/c your son wants to stay at the pools so you wont do less of your favorites, and on your last trip you should do all your absolute favorite things so you can do them at your own leisure and time. good luck and have fun.

I try to plan each trip around a specific park. For example, I spent 10 days at VWL in September, and did the MK in depth. Then I spent 10 days at BCV in December, and did Epcot in depth. It doesn't mean I dont' visit the other parks, but I try to see every little nook and cranny of the park I'm closest to. Back to BCV for 10 days in February, with the accent on MGM this time!

Since we live in florida, we are able to go several times a year...as long as the budget allows!

As far as planing goes-I make all my ADRs- I go through this headache every single time! Well worth the frustration. I like to change it up everytime. My DH & I as well as both of our boys love trying all of the new foods.

We also stay at a different resort just about every time...the pools are a big deal for the boys!

We still do all the parks with park hopper. We do however, exclude animal kingdom if its too hot and will do a water park instead.

Other than that we just go with the flow and have fun!

I think of them as different trips, and some are more relaxing then others. Our NYE trip we just enjoyed the sites of everything Christmas, didn't really see any parades or shows, but when we go in March we plan on doing all of them. In May we'll just see where the wind blows us. In September I'll do everything plus MNSHP with my dad. Then my dad and I will probally go in November to see the Christmas stuff. then back for NYE with bf.

We usually do all four theme parks twice and if we have more days we like to do Universal one or two days and if its Summer we throw in some Water parks.
We like to go at least 10 nights and in June we will go 2 weeks.
Its also based on how full it will be, Christmas week will be different from October.
Most of the trips are pretty much the same, we like to do as much as possible each day, we don't like to relax on vaction.
