Multiple Ticket Usage Question

The wife and I are going in October for 7 days. We purchased 7 day park hopper tickets for the trip. We then decided to do two MNSSHP nights. We now want to relax the mornings before the party and just do some goof off stuff around WDW. We don't want to waste the days off our 7 day tickets when we wont use them. We will be going back again in February. We are now looking at purchasing two of the military 4 day park hopper passes for this trip since they have been extended until December. The 4 day tickets plus the two party tickets will give us 6 days of tickets for this trip. I want to save the 7 day tickets for our next trip. With all that being said I have two questions. 1. How long do I have to use the 7 day park hoppers i purchased in May? 2. How would I ensure they use the 4 day military ticket for this trip first because it expires in December? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The tickets are good indefinitely as long as they aren't used. You can make sure the correct tickets are being used by having them prioritized by GS at the parks.
