I have 3 separate reservation booked for a the Christmas week. Checking at BLT lake view for 1 night, check out, then check back in at BLT stand view again for 2 more nights, then off to BCV for another 3 nights. That was the only way i can get the rooms for those days. Here's my question: Does that mean I'm gonna get 3 sets of Magic Bands and how will that work with Dinning Plan?

You will have the opportunity to customize and receive 3 sets of MBs, yes. You do not have to customize all sets; you can now choose to not receive all of them.

MBs will be linked to your account. The rooms are linked to your account. The dining plan is linked to your account. Any MB, barring glitches (which of course cannot be planned on), will be able to access an active dining plan.

As PP said you can take the 3 sets or refuse any of them. Just go on MDE to the ticket and reservation section, go down to MBs where you customize them and there will be a button to refuse. After 3 split stays and 2 other visits since MBs came to be, I have two of every color, plus two AP ones. I refused both of mine for my trip coming up next week.

So if i choose to receive all 3 sets, i only need to carry 1 set for the entire trip?

Thanks. And can we use numbers to peronalize magic bands? or is it only letters. I rmember the last time I personalize I had put the year on it, but when i recieve the bands, it wasn't on it.

We had split stays and several sets of MB's for our trip in May...and it was a nightmare! The reason? We had too many MB's and the systems had trouble reading all of them. They tried to solve the problems by deactivating all sets except for one. (still had issues) This was before we had the option to decline a set for each reservation.

It's best to deactivate all but the ones you want to use.

Easy process - go into MDE to your magic bands and follow directions in there.

We had this problem last week. Apparently, you can have, at most, 8 magic bands active. We deactivated all but the ones we were using.

I have about twelve magic bands and two cards on my account. Due to some sort of glitch when PVB opened for reservations, I never had the opportunity to customize bands for my current trip. We each brought two old bands with us and told the front desk to recycle the ones they had waiting for us. I haven't had any problems with my bands, every. I think the "too many bands" explanation is just an excuse when the CM doesn't know what's wrong.

That's what I've been told. I have 3 MBs for an upcoming trip. But since they're 3 different colors, you might consider doing what I'm doing-wear whichever one goes best with your outfit (or mood) that day. Such a fashion statement these MBs can be!
