Multiple Points Transfers

As I have been perusing the Rent/Trade board, I noticed several had said that they couldn't transfer again because they had already done a points transfer this year. I thought you could do multiple transfers in a year, you just couldn't transfer points in AND transfer points out in the same year. Isn't that correct? That's how the board site guidelines appear to read.

You can now only do one transfer per year, whether you receive points or give points each would count as one. So only one of those allowed per year.

MS told me the same thing two weeks ago as what Carol posted.

She also said that the point transferred in will maintain the same UY as the contract they are coming from and for me to be aware of that when and if I do a transfer in.

I did a transfer 2 weeks ago and the points assumed my UY. It didn't make me any difference as I was using the points immediately.

I've read on here that both happen. The MS agent told me that the points SHOULD come in with the same UY as the contract from which they are coming. I guess that becomes a manual input issue and some MS agents do it and some don't.

My advice is to err on the side of caution when doing a points transfer knowing that they points SHOULD maintain the UY of the transferring memeber's contract.
