Multiple MMB members per DVC membership?

My wife and I are transferring one of our contracts to our two daughters as co-owners to give them the benefits of membership (e.g. discounts, especially annual pass discounts). Our daughters have their own residences at different addresses.

I called MS to confirm that even though only one owner was allowed to purchase MMB, that person could purchase annual passes for everyone (themselves, their co-owner sister, and both sets of husbands) using points even though her (co-owner) sister's address was different than her own. I was told, to my surprise, that they could BOTH purchase MMB as they might, for example, want to use the priority wait list benefits when traveling without their sibling.

I am posting to these boards to confirm that what MS told me was correct. My original (and hopefully incorrect) understanding was that only one owner on a membership could purchase MMB.

I know that MS is probably right, but I want to verify before I transfer points to them to purchase their annual passes with.
Also, if they can't both get MMB please verify that the MMB member can get annual passes on points for everyone - even her (co-owner) sister's family that lives at a different address.

Thanks!

Follow on questions (not as important):
1) They are both currently associate members are our membership - this won't interact with their own membership in any way - will it? (e.g. the ability to purchase MMB).
2) If they both buy MMB, do they both get their own photopass?

Are you transferring the membership I.e. you are no longer going to be on it or are you simply adding people to your membership now that they are old enough to take advantage of the benefits?

Multiple people can buy MMB per membership but the maximum number of OTUP that can be acquired is still capped at 24.

They will all have one photopass per purchase and priority to lounges. They also could buy the discounted weekday tickets for DL & WDW

MMB is a purchase/option for individual owners, not for the membership.

So yes, any qualifying owner on a contract can buy MMB and get access to most of the benefits of MMB, except for any benefit that may be additionally limited per membership as well (like the BOGO One-Time Use Points offer)

Thank you both for the answer!!

To answer eticketplease's question: We are transferring only one of our contracts, and they will be joint owners, without us, of that one. We are retaining our other contracts in a trust (so they have to wait for those), but they utilize them now as associate members.

Great to know that each can by MMB for the benefits (even though BOGO OTUP is fixed), as they each have one daughter (biased grandparent comment - the 2 grandkids, both about a year old, are adorable!) and will definitely need the annual passes and photopasses for their kids first trips.
:-)

Is there a definite answer as to whether you can get the BOGO benefit twice if you have two members pay (e.g., spouses) if they are using BOGO in two separate memberships (use years)?

Just clarifying you mentioned they will purchase Sorcerer passes and they're also interested in PhotoPass from MMB.

The Memory Maker included with MMB is only good for 30 days. If they want PhotoPass downloads for 365 days with a Sorcerer Pass for multiple or separate trips, they would still need to purchase the $99 up charge with an AP. You could honestly just purchase one PhotoPass download subscription for the entire family if everyone is linked, but that one person with download capabilities would need to download and share everything.

Thanks for the info -good to know! I have no familiarity with Memory Maker or Photopass so I love to have something new to learn!

For now I think they will stick with the Memory Maker as they can always add Photopass later to the AP if they do multiple trips. The fact that one Photopass can be shared among an entire family if they are linked will be used extensively by us even if not this year - thank you for the tip!! BTW is the same true for Memory Maker? If only one person has it can it be shared with family linked in MDE?
