multiple fastpass......

what is it?
how do you get?
where do you get it?
In other words....could someone tell me everything about it because I am clueless

Multiple fastpass - you can collect one fastpass for each ride that offers them all at the same time.

Only way to get it now is to book a complete package - meaning room and passes through AAA. You also must stay at one of the three onsite Disney hotels.

You mean it is a AAA product?

In other words, since I booked a package to stay at GC and bought PH tickets with this package directly from Disneyland reservations will I not have this option?

If that is the case it might make sense for me to cancel the reservations that I made direct with Disneyland and rebook through AAA. I am not a AAA member now but it would be worth joining to get that benefit.

I will be traviling with my wife, 2 young kids (4 and 8) and my mother and step father who don't move very fast.

At WDW I would run ahead with their tickets and get a Fastpass for everyone while they would go wait in a non-fastpass line. It would be great if when I went ahead I could get Fastpasses from several different rides.

Is that how you are saying it would work.

Also, I don't understand why Disneyland doesn't do a Front Of The Line thing like Universal in Orlando does. With only 3 Disneyalnd hotels it would be great. I understand why WDW can't do it since so many guests stay on-site. But it seems like Disneyalnd is much more for locals and consequently, it would work. I'm sure it would increase Disney hotel occupancy.

Yes cats mom is correct- last year just booking through AAA you could get the unlimited fast pass thing- Now its just through AAA and you have to stay on property-

Personally if you know the system and how to use the system to the best of its advantage you really dont need the unlimited fass pass option. DL and DCA have several unconncected FP machines (they *can* change so its not a given) where you can get a FP for that ride and another connected pass ride at the same time. i have never had the unlimited pass and I dont think Ive missed out or had it been a disadvantage to me.

Does WDW even have a advantage pass thing?? I have yet to hear of one-

Depending on when you go, you may not even need fastpass. The last time I was there, it was so slow that I could get fastpasses, but the CM's laughed at me. The only time I needed a fastpass was on Friday. That was in late September/early October 2002.

Also keep in mind that if you cancel your reservations with Disney, you may have to pay a fee. If you got trip insurance, I think that covers cancellations.

Such a system seems unfair. It creates classes of people some of whom are treated with more privileges. That's also why I believe offering multiple fastpasses with certain packages is unfair. The existing fastpass system is so wonderful because it is available to everyone who enters the park and treats everyone equally.

But there are always different "classes" of patrons to any business. I am paying significantly more to stay at a Disney property than I would for another comparable off site hotel. Because of that I expect some advantages and I think a FOTL pas should be one of them.

Having a front of the line privilege would just be another hotel perk. It would be like early entry at WDW. Is that unfair? No. It is just a perk to those willing to pay extra.

Every business gives something extra to those who spend more and Disney is no different. It would certainly make staying at the on-site hotels more attractive and consequently I think that either their occupancy levels would increase or they would be able to increase their nightly rates.

I have considered taking the family to Universal Orlando instead of WDW because of the FOTL pass and I know of other families that go to Universal for just that reason.

The unlimited fast passes are nice - we had them when we stayed the week between Christmas and New Years. I refused to go that particular week without them!

They don't compare to FOTL at Universal Orlando though. Last trip there we stayed at the Royal Pacific just to get that perk and ended up only spending 1.5 days at WDW and 4.5 at Universal.

I would expect fluffier pillows and plusher carpets, but as long as Fastpass is a free system, it should be equal for everyone.

 ELK34, I know exactly how you feel because I also booked through Disney (even air) thinking I'd get all the perks, only to find out that only AAA offers unliminted fast pass! I'm paying for my sons family too so there's 7 of us and we are staying at DLH. Does anyone have a # to call for guest relations to complain. I know on the DW board, people were upset about the credit card and people were calling Disney Guest Relations to complain. I think Disney should either take the unliminted fast pass away completely or they should be the only ones offering it! Maybe they could tye it in with the credit card someway.
