We are a party of 15 for the first 3 days of our trip and then a party of 13 for the remaining 3 days.
Here is the breakdown: 10 adults, 1 14yr old, 1 11yr old, 1 6yr old, 1 3 yr old and one infant (so technically she doesn't count for DDP).
At any rate... here's the questions:
1. do we tip at table service or is that included because we are a big party?
2. we are not starting the dining plan until day 2 so as to have the extra TS credit for CRT dinner on day 2 - DOES THIS MAKE SENSE?
3. is it smart to right off the bat go with the idea that breakfast daily is OOP (except for day 5 when we do Donald's Breakfast on DDP). This preserves CS and snacks for everyday to work out beautifully. Thoughts?
4. do we have DDP credits for the day we check out? i'm thinking we will have a snack and CS because we have agreed to not use DDP until day 2.
thanks

I will try to help:)
1. We had a party of 6 for 2 days then a party of 4 for 3 days on our last trip. The tip is not included at all on the current DDP. However, I think that they often calculate tip on the bill for your "convenience". You have to pay tip OOP at every TS meal (we paid using a Disney gift card that we had for booking the trip via AAA)
2. and 4. You have the dining credits for every night you stay at the resort. However, it doesn't work in such a way that you forfeit credits not used each day. You can "save" the TS credits to use 2 each for one of the signature dining experiences. We have never done this but we have used 2 TS credits each on the same day for a TS breakfast and a late TS dinner, then using CS credits only on another day for lunch and dinner.
3. We often use snack credits for breakfast (muffin, croissant), we find that we cannot possibly use all of the snack credits during our stay - esp since the CS lunch/dinner meals are pretty large (at many places you get a dessert, which we typically do not eat with lunch!) At times, we have split CS meals then ended up with left over CS credits. Even getting breakfast foods with snack credits, we end up buying some Mickey shaped rice crispy treats to take home with our left over snack credits. For us, when it is hot out and we are walking around in the heat, we do not eat very much. On this last trip (mid-May) it was pretty hot - we ended up with left over CS and snack credits.
Hope this helps!

Ooooh my turn!

1 - It will be added to the bill and not included. For more tipping questions, see the tipping sticky.

2 - DDP gives you credit per night, not per day (see #4 for more detail). If that works out so you have enough credits to cover CRT, then yup it works.

3 - Not necessarily. It all depends on where you're going for breakfast. However, usually, unless doing the pricier buffets (e.g. Chef Mickey's, Akershus) then, yes, it will be more economical.

4 - As mentioned in #2, DDP is per night. So, looking at your plans, it appears you will be there for 6days and 5nights. In this case, you will each have 5TS, 5CS, and 5snack credits to use during your stay. Credits can be used from just after check-in until midnight following your check out. There is no daily limitation on their use and they are all pooled. This means that, should you desire, you may (theoretically) use all of your credits right after you check in, or save them all for the check-out day (as long as they are used before midnight after check-out!). They are not specified as "Day 1", "Day 2", etc. If you were counting credits by days, you may want to take a look at your plans and either drop a reservation, or decide to pay for it OOP.

thank you... this all helps. we are not big breakfast eaters so paying OOP for breakfast works for us. We know that we like a snack a day.
I understood that we had 5 TS, 5 CS and 5 Snacks...
here's our "daily" plan:
Saturday - arrive do not use DDP - lunch poolside at WL & eating dinner at Portobello's treating dad
Sunday - OOP muffin/bagel for breakfast, CS lunch 2 TS credits for CRT & snack when feel like it
Monday - OOP breakfast, CS lunch, TEppen Edo TS credit for dinner & Snack whenever
TUesday - OOP something mid-morning, Hollywood & Vine/Fantasmic TS credit this is at 3:30! ... snack at Fantasmic because dinner was at 3:30!
Wednesday - Donald's Breakfast at AK TS credit, CS lunch & CS dinner
Thursday - check out :( possibly MK so CS lunch and snack that day
This seems to be the way to do it and not waste and not go hungry ;)
how's this all sound?
but ... question is... is the 5 TS, 5CS 5 snack credits per person or will the plan list us as per family/room?

We had the DxDP and just returned yesterday, after a 2 week stay. We were a party of 6 and an 18% gratuity was included on every restaurant bill we ate at except one, that I've forgotten, but I want to say it was in Epcot (I really think it was Norway). The server at Chef Mickey's made it a point to let me know that because we were a party of 6, the gratuity would automatically be added.

The gratuity was added to the bill, and not in any way covered or included in the DDP. You have to pay OOP for that.

Looks like a good plan :)

The credits are pooled per room (except child and adult credits are separated). Not sure of the room breakdown, but the total for everyone would be 5 × 12 Adult TS (both the 14 and 11 year olds are "adults"), 5 × 12 Adult CS Credits, 5 × 2 Child TS Credits, 5 × 2 Child CS Credits, and 5 × 14 snack credits. But, again, there will be separate pools per room, so you don't have to worry about someone from the other family using up all of your hard-earned snack credits :)

I'm a little confused, so maybe someone who knows the answer can chime in.

I assume ALL 15 of you have 5 TS, 5 CS, and 5 snacks. So, the two who are leaving after the first 3 days will still have credits left and someone needs to use them! If I'm doing the math correctly, you will have 4 more TS credits and 10 CS.

Maybe you can use some of these for pizza in the room or divide them up somehow for some breakfast meals to share. But you need to address this somehow.

Not if they have their own room. If they are in seperate rooms then yes there would be extra credits.
