My family is arriving on a Monday and the rest of our party is checking in the next day (Tuesday). I am responsible for making everyone’s fast past reservations. I understand that I can make my fast pass reservations 60 days before my stay but will I have to make my reservations and then wait until the next day to make the rest of the party’s reservations?

If everyone has purchased tickets separately and not within an onsite resort’s “hotel+tickets” package, you can book for everyone when the first window opens.

If packages are booked, you’ll have to wait for the other FP windows to open.

Thanks for this response. Another question...what is the best strategy in the case? Should i make the FP selections for my family of 5 and then the next day try to get the rest of the group (6 people) FP's around the same time as mine? Or would you wait and do everyone the same day? This whole idea is stressing me out. If i do mine first and then theirs, that means i need to do FP bookings twice and also hope that they have times on the same rides around the same time. If I wait until the next day and do everyone together I am potentially missing out on FP reservations.

You can ask Family#2 to Cancel their package and book the room-only reservation.

After the room reservation is switched, Family#2 can purchase tickets via their MDX app or from a ticket reseller at a discount from regular Disney prices.

Then, you can book for everyone when your window opens. If Family#2 won’t process the change, waiting until all booking windows are open works.

If it were me, I would wait and book all the fastpasses together. There are some fastpasses that are hard to replicate and/or get a close time. Much easier to just do everything at once.

I have a similar situation and I’m booking all ours (first to arrive) as soon as I can and then I’ll try to book the second group a few days later for times as close as possible.

My logic is if there’s something available for my whole group at the time I book the second group I can switch, but if not I’d rather not totally miss out on hard to get things and we’ll just ride at separate times. I obviously only expect this to be an issue for things like FOP, 7DMT, maybe SDD, etc.
