December 6: Getting there! Each family took their own car for the drive down. We (my family and family #3) left around 5:30 a.m. Family #2 was running late and didn't get on the road until almost noon.
We arrived at WDW around 4:30 and went immediately to check in to All-Star Movies for 1 night. Check in was quick and easy. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We were in the Fantasia building. Our room was clean and in good shape; but I was not prepared for how small they were. Oh well, it's only for 1 night! We threw our overnight bags in the room and headed for the bus stop. Off to Downtown Disney! We got there and walked around a bit. Ds wanted to go to Legoland and play. After that we went to RFC for dinner. The food was good but overpriced (in my opinion); but we were there for ds! He loves the place.
After dinner we headed back to our room for a good nights sleep so we could get an early start on the next day! Ha! Problem #1--Ds will not go to sleep with the tv on (usually no problems here). We turn the tv where he can't really see it--still no luck! Finally we turn of the tv and all listen to ds's classical lullabyes cd! Problem #2--this is the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. Aside from the fact that I'm accustomed to sleeping in a king sized bed, this bed has something hard running around the whole perimeter of it. I don't know what it was; but you could seriously hurt yourself getting in it! And don't even thing about hanging an arm or foot of the bed! Totally uncomfortable! We finally did all get some sleep though.
December 7: Day 2, We're off to the Boardwalk! Coming soon.....
