Christian loves seeing me post on these boards (He's particularly fond of smilies, so be prepared ;) ) so this is Christian's trip report - what WDW is like for a 5 1/2-year old first time visitor.

"Thank you for letting me come to Florida. :moped: My favourite ride was Test Track, even though I screamed "Its too fast" all the way round. I didn't like Goofy's Barnstormer because it was fast and twisty, but I did like going inside the big shed. :teeth: My favourite 3-D show was Mickey's Philharmagic :3dglasses , also liked Cat in the Hat ride, and Men in Black and ET at Universal. I was very good at Buzz Lightyear Spaceranger Spin :rotfl: . My favourite places to eat were Cracker Barrel and IHOP :mickeybar ."

Christian says that's enough. I might get Josef to give an 11-year old view. Still working on the pictures :rotfl2: :confused3

Thanks Mazda. I read one of my son's Florida diaries at few weeks back (naughty parents took him during school time so he had to do a diary to show the teacher when he got back). Unfortunately, he couldn't spell like, so everything was I lick the whales, etc made quite interesting reading. :)

We took our 2 out of school too :guilty: but I think they learn just as much in Florida (OK, perhaps Premium Outlets is an exception :rotfl: ) especially at AK, Epcot and KSR. And Josef had to bring home the practice SATS papers he was missing for me to do with him, so the school got their own back ;)

Actually, both boys teachers were very positive about it, especially because we said upfront that they would be doing trip journals to bring in and show when they got back. :wave2:

thank you so much for your report Christian : :love2:

and I love the idea of a trip journals for school ,
might try that one on the teacher the next time I take them out of school
we also take the boys out , They do learn :teacher: so much in WDW even if it is just how to read a map

I downloaded the pages from www.themouseforless.com (which has other good tips for saving money etc. :cool1: ). There's loads of different designs for pages, so you can pick princesses, classic Mickey, Pooh and friends, Peter Pan - whatever your children like. You can also decide how many pages and what level - for Christian we just printed the pages for each park so he could fill in his favourite ride, character etc., where he found a hidden Mickey, plys some "daily events" pages for non-Disney days. As Josef is older, we also printed an extra page for each day (themed at the top then just lines to write on) and extra Hidden Mickey pages. I filled up the empty pages at the back with colouring pages from Disney Magic Artist - I used those A4 books with bound-in transparent document pockets - about £1.99 each from Woolworths (but if they have 3 for 2 on stationery get one for yourself as well - mouseforless has adult journal pages too, but sadly I didn't find them til I got back  )

The boys still get a lot of pleasure looking back over their journals and remembering. ::MickeyMo

Thanks so much for that link, I will make good use of it. :)
