Is it still open? Is it supposed to change to Goofy's Sky School? Thanks. I did a search but could not find any new info.

We rode it in January. Still scared the snot out of DH. DSes (6 & 9) love that! As far as I know it's one of the few rides in DCA that is NOT under construction right now!

I hope they make the theming a little more interesting than just changing the name! It looks like the ride that the imagineers skipped over. There could be a little tunnel you go through. They could do something better than just letting you see the weeds on the ground. :confused3

It is not a good ride and IMO symbolizes the "build cheap" mentality that existed when DCA was built. They should tear it down and build something better. :cool2:

Yes, it looks just like the roller coaster they had at the county fair when i was growing up. I remember the first year they brought the "big" roller coaster to the fair and it got lots of local media coverage because there was never a roller coaster at the fair before. It was impressive for a fair - 20 years ago - but totally unimpressive at a disney park. I went on it once on our first trip to DCA back in 2001 and it gave me a headache. Never again.

When I first heard about all the changes they were making at DCA my first thought was "I'm sure they're taking down that horrible roller coaster". I thought that would be a no-brainer. I was shocked to hear that they were keeping it. I'm hoping they're planning on getting rid of it sometime in the future when they need more space for a good ride.

DS (10) loves that ride. Although I think he really likes it because it always seems to be walk on and no wait. There is a ride similar to it at WDW at AK in Dinoland. For DS, I hope it is still open next month, but I think they really could do better.

I agree but it always seems very busy when I am there. I wonder what could be built in that small space?

Me too! :)

Walk on? MM is rarely walk on for us. DBF and I don't ride it that much, the cars are tiny and DBF is tall so he barely fits. The girls love it tho so we will get FP and let them ride it twice in a row. :) I do hope they change it up too, a tunnel would be fun......

We have never had to wait to ride it. We typically hit that ride in the early evening. That might have something to do with it. We rode it several times over Thanksgiving week. We were even allowed to stay on the ride.

The best thing about MM is that they have a single rider line! We discovered this on our last trip. You have to be 7 to use the single rider line and every time our 7 yr old went up to the SR entrance they asked him how old he was - the first couple of times I walked up with him (you have to go up the stairs) and then went back down to wait for him at the exit so I could watch him.

I get a headache every time I ride it and absolutely hate this ride. We only end up waiting in line or using our FP if our DS 5 wants to ride it.

We (my family) loves Primeval Whirl at the Animal Kingdom because the spinning of the ride vehicles gives us all a bad case of the giggles - so fun! :thumbsup2

But Mulholland Madness.....eh, my boys like it okay, but hubby and I aren't really fans of it. My hope is they do a little more to the ride than just changing the name as well.....like change the ride vehicles so an adult taller than 5' can fit in them without killing our legs/knees.

I agree! However, like I said the least they can do is add some theming to it. Plus it up, like Walt used to say. Except that we know he would never have put it there like that!

It doesn't give me a headache but I find it a little too scary and since there is nothing special about it, we usually don't bother. Even my wild mouse rollercoaster I made in Rollercoaster Tycoon have more theming than that! I know they could do something!
