Last night I finally got to my first crop ever at the lss. I dragged my friend with me who is a CM consultant, but who is also disappointed in her layouts. I think mine intimidated her, but she really is creative and very talented. I literally had to drag her to this crop, so once there I felt it was my responsibility to really help her in creating some easy, but tasteful layouts so that she would be inspired and motivated to keep going to the crops with me! LOL- see there WAS something in it for me too, lol. Anyway, her 3 layouts turned out FABULOUS! She was so happy and has already lined up a babysitter so we can go again next Friday. We never got home until after midnight. Needless to say, I only finished ONE layout in FOUR hours, but it was fun.

I dug out my mulberry paper last night and tried working with it for the first time. With water, it separated easily, but how is everyone getting it so fluffy? I assumed you teased it in some way, but how? I left it dry and then started to just gently rub it, but it seemed to keep pulling off. I wasn't really pleased with it.

After the mulberry paper has dried, you can gently pull out some of the thick fibers, and that makes it fluffy. You have to wait until it's dry, or you'll end up with a mess.:D
