Most trips in the past, we've gotten the mugs - and I think we've gotten enough refills to make it worth it. For our trip in August, we got them primarily because I really liked the design - the red with the characters on them. So, I'm wondering . . . do you think they're worth it for refills, especially considering that you can take it home and continue using it, especially if you really like the design? What's the design right now, anyway - is it still the red with characters, or have they changed it (at which point, I won't want to get another one.)

I definately think that they are worth it. I still use the first one I ever got from 2006. If that is not enough use I don't know what is :D.

definitely worth it. We get a ton of use out of them at the resort and then the kids use them every day at home for drinks.

Worth it! Even if you can no longer drink out of it, you could use it to hold pencils and pens and things like that.

We stay for a week if we're going, and eat breakfast and often lunch at the counter service at the resort, so for us it's definitely worth it.

I actually think we'll get more while we're there . . . unless they're the same as last time. The last ones - light blue with silver - weren't my favorite, but these red ones are really nice . . . but I'm not sure I need anymore of them.

I lost mine before we left for home last time and was broken hearted. We will do it again this year. We use mugs everyday at home and my husband travels often so he really gets his money out of them. We drink quite a bit at the resort but like them at the park because they do not get "soggy" then fall apart. Most places will allow you to use them instead of the paper cups. It's GREEN!

I've never done mugs before but considering the limited amount of time we spend at the resort and the number of times we would walk to food court I don't think it would have been worth it to us. I don't drink much soda and since we always rent a car and stay at mod or deluxe we always have a fridge. On the way in we stop and pick up bottled water, case of soda, fresh cream for coffee, milk and some wine. We always do dinning plan and I carry a bottle of water into the parks with me. While in parks if I'm thirsty I buy a bottle of water. That being said on our next trip we will have out two nieces with us and I may consider buying the mugs. Because I know we will spend much more time at resort by the pool etc. I just think its not really worth it when you tally 4 mugs vs just buying stuff and keeping it in my fridge at the resort but we'll see.

They're not worth it for our kids who can't/won't drink a single thing out of the fountains (they won't drink anything carbonated and can't drink the other fountain drinks because they all have citrus which they're both allergic to and they can't have hot chocolate because they're allergic to milk and we won't let them have coffee even if they did want it which they don't). We'll be getting with our QSDP in June but they'll only be used for drinks we bring from home (we bring powdered cocoa that's safe for them and just add hot water). When we don't get the QSDP, we bring old mugs for them to use since they're not actually filling them up in the food court with anything other than water. It's greener than using disposable cups. Before anybody flames for bringing back mugs, reread what I said. We only put WATER in them and add a mix we bring from home.

DH and I get them every time. We drink a couple cups of coffee each in the morning and we're back at the resort early afternoon every day and fill up several times from the fountains. We definitely get our money's worth. Back when Pop had the frozen Cokes, I REALLY got my money's worth (as did our kids who we did buy them for at the time; the other frozen drink was safe for them to drink).

I think it depends on where you are staying. For example, when we stay DVC we tend to get drinks at the grocery store and keep them in our frig. However, when we were staying at the hotels we would get the mugs IF our room was near the main building and it was convenient to run over for coffee in the morning or a drink before bedtime. Since we rarely ate meals at the resort beyond breakfast, it was really a toss up.

We get them. But, I so wish there were more non carbonated choices for drinks. We don't drink soda...what I wouldn't give for some Southern sweet tea as an option! :rotfl:

I always get them. I like to have a drink when we get back from the parks.

And I love using them when I get home to bring drinks to work!

They are not worth it to me. I wouldn't use it in the morning for a drink since I don't want to carry the cup in a park all day or go back & forth from the room in the evening. I usually get a big gulp type soda at the hess station and keep that cup to refill from a 2 liter bottle in the room.

I always wished they would put refill stations in the parks - that's something I'd be willing to pay for.

We have 16 refillable mugs. There are 3 people in our family. :rolleyes1

We do usually buy them unless it is a really short trip or our room is really far from the refill station. We make coffee in the room every morning, then bring our coffee on the bus. At the park we rinse out the mugs and stick them in a locker, then we refill them when we get back to the resort in the afternoon. We don't drink THAT much soda, but I still think the mugs are worth having. :)

Last time we stayed at the cabins @ the fort and for us it wasn't worth it. It was too far from the refill stations and we had our own kitchen.
Next time we'll be staying at OKW and I don't think we will buy them, again, we have our own kitchen.

I'm debating.

I try to limit my soda intake, plus I don't like cups that are big at the top with the little half size pegs at the bottom. (I've seen that some of the places have the tapered mugs and I would do that kind, but not the others)

However, it's vacation and I do like Coke, Coke Zero, and a few other soda's, hot chocolate would be fine but I don't drink bad coffee and WDW coffee is really bad.

I would use them for meals at the food court maybe (we're looking at a mod stay), but I mostly drink water (I prefered filtered or bottled water but will drink water from the refill stations, no water fountains in the park however).

Can't decide if they're worth it for me or not.

I figure if you're going to drink more than one fountain drink per day at the resort than the 12.95 is paid for in just 4-6 days. If you're not going to use them 6 or more times, it's not worth it.

We got them for this past trip. We weren't on the DP. We wanted coffee each morning on our trip so it was cheaper for us to get them than to buy coffee each morning. We filled them up a couple of times with soft drinks too.

To answer your question, it is still the same red and white design that was there last Aug. Our last trip before our trip last week was at the end of last Aug. Now we have 4 of the same mugs because DH and I got the mugs both trips.

I think they are worth it. I like being able to go to the food court and fill my mug and not have to get in any lines. That makes it worth it to me! And, if I eat one of my CS meals at the resort, i can get a bottle of water for my drink AND get a drink in my mug, so I can take that bottle of water to the parks with me! I drink coffee, so I do that every morning and fill DH's and DS's mugs at the same time. I'm a little bummed that the mug design hasn't changed since August, but I like the design, so I guess it isn't too horrible that I'll have three more red mugs!
