Mug?

Do you carry your refillable mug around the parks or just keep it at the resort. Just curious what others do.

It depends...sometimes I fill up it up with coffee on my way out and slowly sip it through the early morning at the parks! Then I rinse it and stick it in my bag! I drink it black so it's an easy rinse, no dairy to worry about!

We used to carry ours when we used a back pack, now we travel light at the parks so we bring paper cups and fill our mugs in the morning take them back to the room and put the drinks in the disposable cups so we can throw them away when we're done

I've seen guests take their mug with them to the Parks & Resorts and get refills there...which is what we have done. I for one never want to be without something to drink. I have also talked with others who only use their mug at the resort where it was purchased.

You can't get it refilled at the parks so for me there would be no reason to take it.

We would fill 1 or 2 of ours up and soda and take them with us as they would last us a few hours. Then we could refill with the free ice water from CS resturants or throw them in our bag. It was also handy for when we got back to the Resort we could fill them up on the way back to the room. Instead of walking to the room, get the mugs, walk back to the front, fill them, walk back to the rooms after a day of walking in the park!!!

Throw a gallon ziplock in your bag for that rinsed out mug! It was a great tip I learned on here before my first trip.

we always take our mug with us gotta start that day off with a hot chocolate
i use hicking clips to lock it to the side of our bag

We don't take ours, as i thought they were only for use in the resort you bought them and im not good at breaking rules.

Also I dont think I could be bothered to carry it around!

I bring my mug with me. I'm usually finishing a drink on the way to the park and I like to have it once we get back to the resort to fill up before heading back to the room. We always get a locker at the park so I just rinse it out and leave it in the locker along with our sweatshirts and stuff.

I just keep my mug at the resort. I don't feel like carrying it around the parks all day. Between our afternoon breaks and several counter service meals, it definitely gets enough use at the resort.

I like carrying my coffee around with me at the parks in the morning, so I bring my mug. This is really easy because we still have a stroller for our youngest, so I just wash out the mug and throw it in the stroller basket.

I also find my mug handy during the day, because the sodas you buy in the park are huge (in our opinion!) So if we eat lunch as a CS place, I always have soda left over or I'm sharing with one of our kids. So I use the mug to store the soda we purchase in the parks.

At the end of the day, it's nice to have the mug handy at the resort on the walk back into the room so we can stop by an refill.

When we don't have the stroller along for storage anymore, not sure what I will do (with the mug, sweatshirts for 3 kids and 2 adults, etc!)

I've never done the mug but will be this trip. I don't plan on taking it with me to the park. I hate bringing stuff into the parks.

Ours stay in our room, we travel light to the parks, often without any bags at all.

On my last trip I didn't bring a bag into the parks, so we left our mugs in our room. We were in the Country Fair section of ASMu, so it was a long walk between the food court and our room! So most evenings we didn't feel like making that trek to fill up our mugs.

Next time we go I want to bring my camera so I'll be carrying a camera bag into the parks. I'm planning on bringing my mug to the parks with me, since there's room to carry it in my camera bag. That way when we get back to the resort at night I can fill it up before going back to the room.

I don't think I'd bring a bag JUST to carry the mugs around all day... but if I'm going to be bringing a bag anyway and there's room for the mug I think it's worth taking just so you don't have to be walking back and forth between your room and the refill station when you get back to the resort at night!

The problem with us is our next trip there will be 6 of us, all over the age of 16. To hold 6 mugs all day...naaaahhh. So we have something in the morning and someone runs the mugs back to a room. I bring a scripto with me and we write the names or intials on the mugs as to not confuse them.

I have a DD9 so I always have to carry some kind of bag anyway... We take ours with us. Then we buy a large drink and split it between us because we have our mugs. It's helps save money so we got more for souvenors!
