Mug pick up question....

I can not get the dining plan for the first day of my stay due to booking on Hotwire( no availablity through Disney). However, I am getting the meal plan for the second part of my stay. May I pick up my mug on the first day of my stay or must I wait for the second day? Thanks in advance!

You must wait.

The mug is just another credit on your dining plan. You have to activate the plan before you can get the mug. The plan is activated at check-in; it can't be activated the day before.

At the beginning of the trip, do we go to the food court at the resort to pick up mug, or do you get them at checkin?

You get them at the foodcourt. I have also seen them in resort gift shops.
